I walked into your establishment last night to watch the Avalanche game since I didn't care to watch election coverage. There wasn't a single soul around inside that I could tell, but the lights were on and the door was unlocked, so I figured y'all were open. I noticed that the hockey game wasn't on any TV's, so I figured I'd pull up a stool and wait for someone to come around, in hopes of ordering a beer and hopefully getting one of the TV's switched over.
Here arose the problem:
I waited for roughly 10 minutes and not a single employee came to greet me. I knew someone was around because I could hear them chatting when I walked across the bridge from the parking lot, and down the stairs before entering. I didn't know if they were a staff member or not, but as I was walking across the roof of the container that housed the actual bar area, and given the specific location where the particular individual was standing, I could only assumes as much. Perhaps I was incorrect in that assumption. Now I am a pretty patient person, so when someone didn't greet me instantly I figured I'd wait around a little bit to see if someone would eventually come. That never happened. It almost got to the point where I thought about going around the bar and pouring myself a beer, but that isn't ethical, and I didn't have any cash on me anyways. After the ten minutes passed, I decided to get up and call it.
That all being said, the atmosphere seems pretty cool, which is why I gave that category four stars. The service however, is getting a big ol' goose egg from me. That part was extremely dissatisfying. If you can't get a good review from someone that lives in town and has the potential to become a regular, especially during the months that are slow and business will essentially be down, all I can say is good luck when it comes to some word of mouth-of-mouth advertising from me. I'll give y'all another chance, because I do think your business has potential, and I don't wanna be labeled a "Karen" necessarily, but as far as 1st impressions are concerned, to quote Tommy Callahan,...
Read moreGreat new place in Estes Park to catch a game ! The TVs are great , the place is really clean , the food - while a limited small menu - it gives you that stadium / arena feel. The pretzels were great! Probably the best I’ve had. Cooked to a slight crunch yet soft. The salt is more of a powder vs the large crystals. I didn’t have the nachos but they looked amazing. We went into just check the place out to see where we wanted to catch a football game that was coming on. Well, staff talked us into coming here vs The Wheel Bar - our usual when in town to watch a game. We are super happy about the change of venue ! TVs were great , the patio was perfect to sit outside wake watch game in the awesome Colorado weather. The place was packed - every seat was filled and staff kept up just fine with service. The owners son - I forget his name - but he was super positive and really nice to us. The other bartender with the stache - was super cool too. Both of them together are a dynamic duo of entertainment behind the bar. They make you feel like this is your hometown bar and you belong there. If you find yourself in Estes and need to catch a game - This is the...
Read moreThis place is AMAZING!! We went there on both of our days in Estes Park, and the people who own this place were so accommodating and gracious. There are not enough words to say how much we enjoyed it! One of the owners made sure he had our football games on and he told us the cool story of how this bar came to be with his dad. Their concession style menu was so fun and reasonably priced. A reviewer before me was crabbing about no service which is laughable - there were plenty of signs to let you know that you need to go inside to order. It looks to be the only negative review so far which is too bad because he was completely mistaken. Anyway, thanks for the awesome time and we can't wait to come back when we are in town...
