We were looking for a cozy, rainy Saturday afternoon date spot and stumbled upon 225. Their reviews were good and the cocktail/wine menu sounded tasty. We walked into an empty bar and a gal working on her laptop. We stood at the entrance waiting to be directed on where to sit, and that never happened.. We wandered to the bar where laptop gal met us and immediately asked what we wanted to drink. We were unsure, as we had just walked in. When asking about wine selections and a sample, we were told we could only have a sample if the bottle was already open because "wine goes bad in 2 days" (yes we know, and thank you for the reminder).After we made our selection, she basically instructed us to close our tab, unaware or didn't care that we were hoping to have a few drinks. We drank our wine and immediately left. I've never felt so unwelcomed in an establishment. I understand that people have bad days, but we were clearly bothering laptop gal and her important social media work she was doing for the bar. We're so very sorry to have bothered you and will never do it...

A Hidden Gem in Downtown Eugene! 255 Madison is hands-down one of the best cocktail bars and lounges in the city. And okay, let’s not ignore the obvious—the bartender is insanely hot. Like, movie-scene-worthy levels of attractive. But beyond the looks, they’re genuinely skilled and passionate about their craft, shaking up some of the best cocktails in town.

I just can't say enough wonderful things about this place. The ambience the staff the way they remodeled everything was just over the top fantastic. I got to try the So Down wine and it was so delicious. They had great cider beer and wine affordable for all. It's a great place for the big party we had there's food trucks outside that blew any restaurant away. It was also fantastic that anyone that was hungry could have of their own variety of food. The music was awesome, you could hear it inside and outside. The barrel room is an amazing place to take photographs. Overall it's just a beautiful place and again the staff treated us so well and I love the remodel...
