We happened to be in Eugene and wanted bbq. We asked a couple locals and the suggested Bill and Tims. We arrived at around 3pm. They have a great menu. I ordered a full racked of ribs with pork n beans and bacon potqto salad. My husband ordered the tritip Philly with bacon potato salas. My brother ordered hush puppies and the chop salad. Unfortunately the ribs were very dry. I don't usually like to leave a bad review, but they were bad. Infact we kept the left overs and tried them today thinking they would be better with more sauce. No. In the photo near the left is the membrane you are supposed to remove before you cook them. That was very tuff. The hush puppies are amazing, the tritip was very good. The beans not so much and the bacon potato could be better the flavor was good but it was very wet. Maybe to much onion dampness. Will I go back, maybe for a to go order of hushpuppies. If you go there I hope you have a compltely different experience. Other than that, we had a great day. I think it was more so unfortunte for me because I have been eating a lot more healthy lately and I wanted something delicious. It was disappointing. I feel cheated.

What a great BBQ joint. We've been here twice now, and both times have been really good. As with any dining experience, it has had its downsides, but all in all, it is really delightful. I ordered the club sandwich this time around. The meat was amazing. The Texas grilled toast was toasted but chewy and didn't destroy the roof of your mouth. The Sweet and Smokey BBQ sauce was absolutely my favorite, and squeezed on the sandwich really completes the perfect bite. The husband had the three meet plate, which is where the downsides came. Mind you, we were also there right before closing, so an earlier arrival may determine different results. He ordered the brisket, which was a bit dry, the tri-tip which the smoke was perfect, but the bite was chewy. The turkey, however, was juicy and delicious. Baked beens were not sweet at all, which surprised me a bit. Mac and Cheese was a bit on the thick side for my taste as well. Beer selection was on point, but maybe some alternate IPA options would be a good substitute. All in all, TRY THIS PLACE. It's worth the visit.

Nice spacious restaurant with parking lot. I had my heart set on a rack of ribs but unfornately they were sold out at 1pm. I totally understand that BBQ places sell out, but that early seems like poor planning. I instead got a meat plate with chicken, brisket, and pork sausage. The brisket and chicken were both very delicious on their own way. The wood they use to smoke with worked really well with the brisket, and sauce added great flavor to the chicken. The smoked flavor didn't pair so well with the sausage though, which was my least favorite meat. Mac and cheese was very dry and barely warm. Beans were just okay, and the green pepper content gave them a distinctly familiar 'sloppy joe' flavor. They had a labeled buss station in the dining room, but it wasn't clear if they expected you to clear your own table because all the buss tubs were full. Overall - a decent lunch. Not the best BBQ I've ever had, but probably the best in this city.

Picked up father's day bbq that was ordered online and i wrote "gluten free" on each order and texas wheat toast was included in each order. One was not even in the little bag and had glutened the food. I know you are not gluten free but gluten friendly would be good like dickie Joe's...they have it down and we appreciate that every single time... Service was much better and food was pretty good. Always willing to retry a locally owned restaurant.

Prior review: Sorry to have to recind my former 5 star review. I am not sure where to begin but last sat night was awful. We were a large group. We ordered 3 of several plates as gluten free and one came with texas wheat toast...ummm...then after eating tots we were told by one server they were NOT gf, after another server said they were.gluten free and a 3rd person said they were!??Nobody knew anything. Where is managment!?!?! Ummm. Our kid is allergic to wheat, but small amts are ok (not celiac). My bro is also allergic. We made sure to tell them. Well my kid and bro had bad stomach aches after eating the tots for 24 hrs. In addition, most of our orders were missing something. We had to ask and ask and ask for our sides. I finally gave up on my coleslaw and tot order. 2 of the dinners were served abt a half hr after everyone elses. The young woman who.appeared to be some sort of manager seemed angry. One of the new guys on the register asked.her for help as there was a line forming and she just glared at him a death look. She was not friendly at all when we asked questions. This is not what we are used to. We visit this restaurant and dicky joes often -- as well as mucho gusto very often. Something is way wrong here. I am sorry we brougjt an out of town guest who was stunned at the rude service, glutening, and low quality of food. The two orders of chips n guac tasted like they were cooked in burnt oil. We could not eat them and one teaspoon of guac and no salsa.....all 9 of us were disapppinted with our meals. :( On a positive note...the bbq squce is still good. I hate to leave a negative review, esp for a local restaurant but i am worried this place is gonna close!? SO MUCH...

I was cruising the streets of Eugene in my rented retro bike, getting a sense of the feel of the city. I thought about finding a classic cafe or something to feed my hunger... For some reason I felt like Eugene was more of a cafe city. Low and behold I passed by Bill & Tim's Barbeque.

"Barbeque? This far from the south?" I thought as I zipped around the corner. "Maybe I should check it out!"

I did a sharp U turn and parked my bike at a rack (outside a cafe) and walked back to this BBQ oasis.

I have to say I was more than impressed. It wasn't busy at all on a Monday night. The guy at the counter was super friendly and chill. Right off the bat he said, "Hey just a heads up, we're out of ribs tonight but we've got everything else for you." Honesty. I appreciate it. Nothing worse then ordering an item then finding out they're out, am I right? Anyway, I just ordered their basic pulled pork sandwich, paid, and took a seat with my number.

Within a few minutes they brought out the sandwich, and it was STACKED with pork. I mean, there wasn't even any point of trying to eat it with my hands. My big mouth couldn't even fit around the thing!

"Well, they sure don't scrimp on the portions!" I thought with satisfaction, as I dug my fork into the meat to get it down to sandwich size. Before long I was full and happy.

The only thing I regretted was not getting a side of tater tots. As I looked around I noticed everyone else had them except me. I felt left out. Like the last kid picked for teams at recess. Those tots looked like tasty little things...

But I digress. Basically this is a solid BBQ joint in a bike friendly city. Don't miss it if you come...

Fantastic bbq. I can’t stress this enough. Fantastic bbq. Their prices are really well priced. Their flavor is amazing. This is one of the few places that I’ve been too that they don’t serve you fatty chunks in your meat. We ordered pork tacos, which where PERFECT in every way. Seasoning was really nice. Just a light hint of applewood smoke comes through at the end with all their meats but it was really well paired with the cilantro and green salsa on the tacos. We also ordered pulled pork sandwich, fries, and beans with pork. All of the food was really good. Usually pulled pork falls apart on a sandwich or is just a big hunk of shoulder that they then smother with sauce- not in this case! It was perfect. Just the right amount or moisture, the sauce was just right and the flavor- well, the flavor is definitely forward and not lacking. What was really cool in our opinion was the ordering system. You come in and choose right off and pay. Then choose where you want to sit. Very fast food feel but in a really really relaxed atmosphere that gives you more of a friends house then a quick burger. The food came out pretty quick too, roughly 10 min wait till we had our plates. We also like how you can bring your own drink container and save the plastic cup. Just another one step forward to limiting single use plastic and they make it easy. If you’re looking for awesome food and nice atmosphere this is the place to go. They even have tofu options for friends who...
