I do enjoy the food here, and the customer service is always lovely. However, I am incredibly disappointed with the general manager of this location. I have attempted to get a job here for over three weeks. After my first interview I was told that I was pretty much guaranteed the job but would need to schedule a different time to come get a tour of the store and everything because I was sick. Totally understandable. I come back a couple days later and am given a tour of the store and told again that I am liked and wanted, and that there is a position for me if I am able to wait a couple weeks when other employees leave and there is room on the schedule. I tell him that's pushing it a little bit but that I want to work for this establishment and am willing to wait. He tells me he'll call me after the two weeks and get me started. Two weeks pass and I never received a call. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I call to try to set up a time to come in again. I'm told I'll be called later. Then I call two more times spaced out a couple days between each. The same woman took down my name and number all three separate times telling me I will be called back. Finally I call when the GM is working and he tells me to come in the following day at noon. When I do so I am told to come back at 1:30 because 12 is usually peak time. Not sure why I was told to come in at this time in the first place... Nevertheless I come back at 1:30 and am told, AGAIN, that I am liked and wanted but that he wants to go through with other interviews before accepting me. I've never heard of a business holding onto a valid candidate for so long but not committing because they want to see what else is out there. Its almost like I'm dating the business. I was never called with his decision like I was told, so I called back again today only to have my name and number took down AGAIN even though he was working! Now the day has passed and I still haven't heard back. Not only has this place lost a very determined employee but they've lost a customer as well. I'm so...
Read moreMaybe been to Chipotle 1 or 2 times before, but never again. Didn't like the choices initially then a huge line formed behind me so decided to go for just chips, guac, salsa (like $5 with a drink). They served up the guac & salsa and I just wanted chips. Saw 3 bags of chips behind the counter. They had only the large bag (no small bags), no big deal. As I was ordering the chips, another server told the cashier, "I'm taking them all so we'll have to make more." Looked like a pick up order for a food delivery driver. I walked away & said no thanks. My buddy paid around $10 for his burrito & got a drink, roughly $13 total. He got some extra chicken & white queso on his burrito. Smelled delicious when we sat down & he started eating.
I sat with my buddy and hunger grew so I'm like, OK, I'm gonna get a burrito. Server was nice & let me try some of the spicy chicken (good). But, I chose the $9.10 burrito thinking I could add whatever for same price. Added quac, queso, salsa, a little sour cream. Picked up a drink, $19.75 total! Seriously? That's like almost fine steak territory. I asked cashier why $19.75 and he's like "You got double chicken" & like my buddy, I just asked for some extra chicken. Was never advised that "extras" were more. They simply could have said "there's an upcharge for this or that." But they did not.
Got my Diet Coke (delicious) and sat down, waded through half my bland burrito and cut off another half for my buddy.
Never will go to Chipotle again, anywhere. Eugene has too many other choices for something so bland to cost nearly $20. I spoke to the Manager, didn't yell, just gave feedback, didn't ask for a refund (I should have). But hey, if you're in Eugene, TONS of other Mexican food places that are less expensive, tastier, and better.
Plus, who runs out of chips? They have a point-of-sale system and could easily run reports on occupancy and prepare accordingly. Note to self: check out reviews before eating somewhere you've been very few...
Read moreI try really hard to be kind in my reviews of fast type places because my expectations aren't high in the first place.
The food at Chipotle is good. I like it quite a bit. Are they as good as going to a food truck and getting a burrito? No, not in my opinion, but you do get quite a bit for the price you pay. I like their burritos, double wrapped. Their food always tastes fresh, well seasoned, and cooked properly when I've been there. Service on the other hand...
At this particular Chipotle the service has been hit or miss. Sometimes someone friendly is helping. They smile and are happy to make whatever you like. Other times, however, there seem to be some employees who don't necessarily want to be there. No smiles, no hellos, and it feels like hurry up and get out of my line. It doesn't make me feel great. I don't like feeling rushed. I'm not slow. If I were I could understand a bit, but I order quickly and efficiently and to have an employee rush that further when there is no one else in line is a bit frustrating.
The Chipotle on Gateway seems to have much better service, at least the times I've been there.
The last time I tried to eat here, I actually ended up walking out. I'm not blaming Chipotle exactly, but I was 4 deep in a line and the 2 guys who were ordering were ordering for an entire office staff. It seemed like employees were scrambling to keep up and make enough food. I was frustrated and left. However as I said, I don't blame Chipotle per se, those folks should have probably called ahead and placed a timed order so that staff could...
