Hot Mama's Wings — Restaurant in Eugene

Although there is a lot of gluten present in the kitchen, they do a really good job at keeping the gluten-free food separate from cross contamination. I had the gluten-free bone in chicken wings. They were very juicy with no breading. We tried a bunch of their sauces and found most of them to be a little lackluster unfortunately almost diluted tasting. I also tried two of the dry rub options, the garlic parm which almost didn’t taste like anything, and the lemon pepper, which was actually really robust they use a lot of seasoning for that. We also got the fried cheese curds, which were gluten-free and so delicious and we tried the chicken strip basket with tater tots The strips were perfect and the tater tots were so crunchy! I would like to say the ranch dressing is really yummy and I got a small side salad, which ended up being pretty big and delicious! Even though we weren’t super impressed by the sauces we tasted here I would one hundred percent go back. Oh and lastly, they have great happy hour deals daily and also day specials specials as well making it fun to go and...

This is upsetting, because I once loved this place. However, they raised their prices once again. Now I know inflation hurts, but charging near $20 for a burger at a counter service place where you need to bus your own table (and they still ask for tips. Seriously, what am I tipping you for? Are you all not paying your employees fair wages?) is just asking way too much.

Their food is good, not great. The fries are just awful though, soggy and bland. Wings are good, but man, too pricey now. Almost 10$ for 6. And you can't even get multiple sauces unless you buy 12. Come on. If someone gets 9, let them break it up 5 and 4. They are already paying so much money. Help out the customer.

Hot Mama's, you were good but due to raising the prices once again, I'm out. I had my last wing. Thank you for all of your service, but you all need to check yourselves because you're not a gourmet restaurant. You're a fast serving, sit down place with counter service. Just seeing the menus from 2-3 years ago...

back almost a year later to remove stars because going there recently, i looked at my receipt and read they charged me for the takeout container as well as a fee for paying with a credit card. i never would have known unless i happened to read my receipt; the worker who rang me up said nothing. many people pay with a credit card by default and it's rude to do that to us without warning. their deep fried bar food is a tasty treat, but nickel and diming us is disrespectful.

clearly labeled nondairy and gf items. i was craving gf nd onion rings. they were great but i had envisioned rice panko. the thai peanut tempeh wings were tasty but not spicy. would prefer df mayo option.

the music included "little red corvette" by Prince, "father figure" by George Michael, something by the Police and Talking Heads. a tv was right above us with the sound off. it's Easter and the pl was almost empty.

service was quick and attentive.

i like the name and would return for more...
