I read the reviews and had to comment because I saw two reviews about "Jesse," which are hard to believe. Jesse is very nice, and he is attentive when you are gambling, always asking what you want to drink. I have been in other lottery places and it's hit or miss on the customer service. Shari's in Springfield is the worst! They are understaffed and overworked, so it is management's fault, not the employees that are stretched too thin. I go to this particular Jaspers BECAUSE all the staff are attentive, and I've gotten to know some of the regulars. It has a great atmosphere and I feel safe when leaving, not like some places that are open late. Jesse is professional, hard-working, and usually is closing when I have been there, so he has a lot of clean-up to perform before 2:30 am. He is just a really nice man. I have been luckier there than at any other lottery place. The establishment is clean, the food is good, (peanut butter cookies are GREAT) and the other customers are like family in there. People hang out there waiting for a machine, and everyone is friendly. I did see Jesse have to reprimand a customer that was a little too rambunctious but he did it firmly, but with style. The guy left...and I was grateful that Jesse is no pushover. I'd go there just to eat and say hi, even if I wasn't gambling. Best one I've been...
