Great dog friendly environment. Good casual atmosphere, respectable beer selection, full bar and a loaded comfort food menu.
The food is very enjoyable although notably chain food. Pizza crust was crunchy/flakey on the outside and nice and soft in the middle. The sausage was very tender and finely ground, house made fennel sausage. Very good. The bison meatloaf had amazing flavor although it had a bit more filler than I prefer in it, giving it kind of a pasty texture instead of meaty.
We waited at the patio gate with our dogs to be seated like the sign at the gate said to while the hosts and hostesses passed us by for several minutes until I fished in down and asked to be seated (it wasn't busy). Other than that, the service was on point: very attentive, always seconds away when we decided we needed a refill but, not bothersome.
We went on a stormy night so we could watch the lightning. Fortunately that means it was a little cooler outside. That being said, although there are fans on the patio, it really could use mist bars for the normal Texas afternoons and nights (I still don't understand why those are so scarce down here). We'll definitely be back to explore the menu some more, probably fall and winter when the weather is more conducive to outdoor dining.
We're always looking for a place we can take the dogs. Speaking of such, there's a short but healthy dog menu: either hamburger patties or grilled chicken with white or brown rice ($4.95) or just rice (2.50). And a respectable portion too. Almost enough for our 100 lb German shepherds. Compare to the woodshed bbq in Fort Worth, whose dog menu is comprised solely of snacks made of kitchen scraps that would otherwise be thrown out but are instead sold for $5 a whack. I'll take the proper dog meal here any day...
Read moreFirst of all who woulda known a food place had soo many different options varieties and flavors!? And ALL of them be exceptionally good? Not me! I came here for the first time on a Friday night! Parking was full but we found a couple spots in the back, but there was plenty of room inside! It was super intimate and romantic! I also heard they serve dog food here and you can bring your dog to the patio! We Had a server name Morgan who is extremely versatile because the last time my friend was here she was working behind the bar and today she served us on the floor. She was absolutely amazing and AWESOME! Ask for her! I was curious about the vegan options and she thoroughly explained all the vegetarian and vegan options available (which were many) which really helped me decided what to get besides just looking at pix online! Also the manager here was super welcoming and went above and beyond bringing us truffle fry/chips as a first time gift treat- sooo good!
So I got the trio mix of small plates with Brussel sprouts, the corn tots and cauliflower ceviche! Omgggg the corn tots were absolutely flavorFULL and delicious ! Best out of the bunch! I wish my chips tasted a little more fresh for my ceviche cus that was super flavorful as well! And the Brussels sprouts were niiice and crispy like I like em. I just needed a little more sauce or maple syrup like I’m used to...
Read moreMy girls and I met up at this place and brought our dogs with us on a Wednesday night. First, I do want to say that our waiter was awesome, I wish I could remember his name I think it started with an L, he has red hair and glasses. But, the patio was terrible. Despite the fact that it was 75° and gorgeous they had all the plastic sheets closed and a fire going in the middle. It was roasting on the patio, my short haired dog was miserable and hot the whole time. We were all covered in sweat by the time we left. They also don't have enough room between tables, which makes it really stressful to have your dog on the patio. My dog is a therapy dog and has a ton of training under her belt. As a therapy dog, she is trained to ignore other dogs, which is good because she doesn't enjoy every dog, but the tiny crowded patio made it really hard for her to ignore other dogs, they were almost on top of each other. All of this would have been worth it if the food had been good but I'm going to give it a solid meh. I definitely won't be back here, I'm going to check out the N. Arlington location but I'm not taking my dog until I see the patio first. If your dog doesn't enjoy being nose to nose with a bunch of strange dogs, you won't enjoy this patio. The staff made no attempt at all to spread the...
