MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Eureka

I went to Mod for two pizzas one white sauce (modified to my liking) and the other margarita (on menu). I ordered and as they were making it, one of the managers starts talking rude to her fellow co-worker. I thought at first that she could have been the manager, but then thought, “even if it was the manager, they shouldn’t be talking like that to her”… it was awkward for me to hear the whole thing. She said a few things, but I don’t remember them all. (Didn’t have caramelized onions… that was kind of a bummer) Next I waited for the pizzas the be done cooking… which didn’t take long at all: 5 minutes tops. Then I got rung up and the guy didn’t say a word… I tried paying with Apple Pay, but that didn’t work. The order was $24 for two personal sized pizzas. Went home ate a slice of white sauce, which was alright… it had a funny aftertaste. I went for another bite of the white sauce pizza and found an eyelash hair… sooooooo groooooossss!!!!!! Spit it out and tried the margarita pizza, found another hair looked about 3 inches long!!!! Needless to say that night I got food poisoning… no further knowledge needed… Never going...

Love this place for a quick lunch. The Mod size personal pizza (it’s a thin crispy crust, but they DO have a thicker crust option) is enough for lunch with a couple of pieces left over to take home for later. Love that you can build your own pizza with as many toppings as you want for one price or you can pick one of their creations as is or use it as a starting point and add/subtract toppings to make it your own. Same with their salads, you can add any of their pizza toppings & make a fantastic and filling salad. Also love their cheesy breadsticks. Staff is always super friendly and helpful and we have always felt very welcome and taken care of every time we eat here. Pizzas cook quickly, less than 10 minutes and no extra charge for a cup of ranch with your pizza. Also, they have the most awesome little bits of crunchy ice for their fountain drink, if you’re into that kind of thing like we are! Excellent thin crust pizza; the best in Humboldt county. Custom build your own pizza or choose from one of their combos. Unlimited toppings for one price!! Gluten free and a couple crust options available... my partner loves them! Have eaten here far too many times since they opened last summer but it's hard to beat! Their consistency has slacked a bit over the last couple months and special instructions, in the comments section of the phone order app, are frequently ignored regarding things like extra cheese requests. They also seem to run out of basic toppings fairly regularly so at times you may be paying for a pizza that you didn't exactly order... which isn't very cool. Staff are always welcoming and nice.
