September 23, 2024 update The 1st time we came here was at least 5 years ago. I'm not specifically sure on a date, but it's been a while.
Today is an update. 9/23/2024 Made a Togo order and spent $122.
Ordered:
Jim jim roll Rainbow roll Seaweed salad Squid salad Miso soup
Firecracker shrimp Chicken taquitos
Shrimp tempura Susan roll Crazy roll
Was completely unaware that they use imitation crab meatš¤¢š¤®
Some of the items came with avocado in or on them. All of the avocado was BROWN š¤¢š¤®
The chicken taquitos look like they came from Walmart. You know how they sell the big bags of taquitos? It's absolutely ridiculous.
The squid in our squid salad had started turning brown.
All of the rolls were bland and had no flavor.
The firecracker shrimp were good. The miso was good.
Everything else was a disappointment š
We were shocked when we came home and opened everything to see the horrible quality food.
I came here years ago. It's definitely been some years, and the last time I remembered, we liked it a lot.
Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
This is a review from 5 years ago or even longer. We ordered the jim jim sushi roll, which was suggested by Nicole, our AWESOME waitress! And it was beyond super yummm! We also ordered fried calamari, the stuffed jalapenos with tuna and cream cheese, and Ika sansai (squid salad over cucumbers) and the firecracker shrimp entree! Everything was absolutely amazing! We loved it all! We also ordered 2 drinks. I forgot the names, but it was like a BlackBerry and apple drink that came from a can. It was an alcoholic beverage, which was $5 on the separate drink menu! They were really good! We had a great time here and enjoyed the food and drinks! Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came here to celebrate my birthday and, being a Friday evening, we expected a longer wait time. We gave our name and the hostess said it would be about 25 minutes. We waited over an hour, and we were finally told that we could be seated if we would take a table outside. We agreed to the outdoor table since it was a decent Fall evening. However, the table was on the back of the building around the corner from most of the other tables. The light on the wall was burned out so it was DARK. We had two small children with us and she put the menus down and walked away. We sat with our flashlights on our phones on to see the menu and waited. It was taking a while and we joked about being forgotten in the dark around the corner. My mom went in to ask them for crayons for the kids and to remind them that we were out there. The server, Bailey, can rushing over and apologized for the long wait but the hostess forgot to tell her she put us out there and that the manager was going to comp our apps. The manager then came out and said he had a table for us inside as fhe hostess was arguing with my mom that since we agreed to the outdoor table, the inside tables were for the customers that came after us. During our dinner the hostess walked by with a nasty look on her face as she obviously whispered and pointed to us with other waitstaff. She was very rude and even continued talking about my family as we were leaving. Food was amazing as always but hostess makes us not want to come back to this location since she was openly hostile towards after she FORGOT TO TELL ANYONE THAT WE WERE OUTSIDE! We tried to call the order in but after 10minutes of the phone ringing then hanging up we decided to just go there (no big deal). My husband went to order but to ensure it did not get messed up he showed the list to the waiter as he proceeded to write it all down. Then we ask to sit at the bar to have a drink while we wait. There were two empty chairs which were not next to each other and they said we couldnāt move them to sit next to each other. The food came and when I got home I was missing 3 items so I went back. He asked me 4 (yes 4 times) to verify the items missing as he didnāt give us a detailed receipt. After the 4th time of leaving the screen to come over and ask us about the order it was placed and it was out in 10minutes. They charged us again even though we showed him the list and all he said was āmy bad yeah thatās on me I didnāt put that ināā¦..so no offer of a comp to be polite for the mistake as most usually do for a returning customer but okay no big dealā¦.BUT it doesnāt end there. We get home AND ITS THE WRONG SUSHI ROLL. Remember when I said he verified 4 times what we were ordering and it was still wrong! The place was not packed, it was half full, no line and I saw multiple servers. This is unacceptable as a paying AND tipping customer. I understand places get busy or are understaffed which from the looks of it on a Wednesday night they were not. Again, the food is greatā¦when you actually get what you ordered.
