Devil Dawgs Evanston — Restaurant in Evanston Township

Food is amazing but my review will stay 1 star because they don’t accept cash. For a business that deals in such cheap prices they should be able to take the money.

Honestly I think it was a choice made by the owner to prevent homeless people from eating at the restaurant which is very disheartening.

With how everything is priced and the fact they will never take cash you are more than better off buying all the ingredients for the stuff they have at the local target across the street.

You can get way more of the beer batter tenders for $8 at target You can get a whole pack of hotdogs for the price of 1 Chicago dog here.

If you are a northwestern student and see this I implore you to start a hotdog business out of your dorm room you will do amazing and at least YOU...

We love devil dawgs. Go to the one in south loop frequently. I come here because I work in Evanston sometimes. Food is excellent, most of their team is nice. Their is a taller white guy who is very helpful and friendly. But some employees are rude and will ignore you.

There is a heavier older Hispanic gentleman who no matter how directly and loudly I say thank you to him, he just stares through me like I don’t exist. It’s uncomfortable. Today I said thank you 3 different times with zero reaction.

But the food is excellent and their happy hours is a great value on weekdays. So just don’t take it personally if you get no response from this guy. I think he just has a bad attitude and shouldn’t be...

I am obsessed with Devil Dawgs and come regularly. Orders are placed on touchscreens in the restaurant (or order on your phone before you come and your food will be ready and waiting!) which makes it super easy to customize your order precisely to the toppings you would like. Every time, I order the fully loaded vegan Chicago dog which comes with sport peppers, pickle spear, green relish, onions, mustard, tomato, and celery salt. It's a flavor explosion!

They currently have a daily happy hour special which gets me my Chicago dog for just $4!

Also, don't miss their French fries. They are perfection!

There is plenty of seating indoors and some outdoor seating too and we love the fun decor...
