I absolutely love Buzz Inn! I will admit; however, I am incredibly biased. . . I think I have eaten at every location possible, including many which are no longer in existence (Sedro-Woolley and Mount Vernon to name a couple.) and have only ever had a disappointing experience at one, to which end reviews left by other members of our party reflected the shortcomings. . . The other locations all seem to retain the charming grit and casual welcoming-ness I remember first experiencing as a young child. Buzz Inn was my father's go-to for dining out and as an adult, I think I can understand why.
The menu is expansive enough to accommodate picky eaters, (understood: children) yet not so overblown as to drown in it. Usually, something can be found to appeal to whatever taste. Not only is the selection great, the dishes are always flavorful and well presented.
My go-to for some time has been the Black and Blue Steak Salad and consistently it has impressed me! I rarely order salad from restaurants as it seems too easy for some to disappoint, either in the construction thereof, or the freshness of the constituent ingredients. This salad from Buzz Inn has impressed across multiple locations! It has always been fresh and crisp, well mixed and beautifully presented. At the risk of sounding cliche, it really does feel like they care about how it is put together when it comes out. . . (Not to forget the whimsically tilted bowls it is served in, wonderful touch)
Generally speaking when we go as a family we will also order the Bacon Wrapped Steak Bites and Bone-in Buffalo Wings to share at the table. The steak bites are generally quite tenderful, well seasoned and full of flavor. Additionally, for a restaurant not specifically specializing in chicken, the wings are well cooked, crispy and adequately sauced.
The Chicken Strips Basket often completes the kiddos orders and having been a longtime recipient of that meal myself, I will say they are well-cooked, not overdone and generously portioned.
All-in-all from ordering at the countertop, to the service that follows, I have no hesitation in recommending almost any Buzz Inn to anyone looking for a good meal at a fair price, in a wonderful...

I was there this weekend with some friends after practice, some who are waiters/bartenders and have a lot empathy and understanding when service is slower/more chaotic than usual (I mean, the NFC championship was on, so it's understandable that service would not be normal).
But man, I think that was the slowest service I've ever had at a restaurant. My bartend friend had to cancel her order because it hadn't even come out after everyone else had finished and had been sitting around for a time waiting. And we had a waitress for our table... We hadn't gone up and ordered individually. I'm not able to give exact times, because who keeps track of that stuff? I mean, besides petty customers that get a hard-on from writing bad reviews?
Anyway, the chef salad was what I ordered, and it was a decent salad, just like salads I'd had there before. I wish I had never eaten that salad.
Before I get any further, let me quickly list all the food I had that day:
Starbucks cold latte from a vending machine in the morning
Chef salad and coffee @ Buzz In around noon
A few handfuls of white cheddar popcorn and a half a beer around 4... Both of which I had had the day before with no incident.
I never got around to eating dinner.
Around 6, I started having terrible gut pains. Then came the vomiting, quickly followed by liquid diarrhea, then both at the same time. Shivers, sweats, on the toilet with a bucket between my legs... Extreme dehydration and weakness... This went on all night. Monday I could not make it into work, and although it is better today and it's no longer coming out both ends simultaneously, I am too weak and dehydrated to make it in to work. This was the worst pain I've ever experienced.
I'm giving 2 stars because I have had other food there before - including a salad - without incident. I don't know what went wrong this time. And the service has been much better during...
Read moreThis is about a month late but it’s worth it.
I was in the area getting my car serviced at Jiffy Lube down the street and was hankering for some onion rings and a burger. But more so I wanted a decent waitstaff experience. I had been to a much more renowned and fancier spot down the road and was so turned off that I needed redemption.
After my car was finished I headed down 19th and turned in to Buzz Inn. Parked and headed in. I was warmly greeted and said table for one. The bar was packed but I opted for a single booth. I was given a menu, ordered my drink and a minute later my waitress came.
Kate was my waitress. She was a young woman but by no means was that her color. She was very nice, bantering and polite. Took my order and was eager to show excitement on my choice and upgrades. I asked for a bacon cheeseburger and instead of fries I asked for onion rings. A side of ranch and blue cheese for dipping.
The food was decent, nothing to write home about but the main reason I’m writing this review is because of Kate.
Kate was an exceptional. Very warm. Down to earth and a pleasant person. I asked for a refill a little too quick, on my own admission and she said how bout we get you a carafe? Excellent choice for my gluttony lol.
After I was done eating, I asked for a box. As she came back I asked her name. She jokingly said please complain and tell everyone how horrible the experience was. I laughed but I explained that she was incredible. Incredible considering the lame experience I had at the fancy spot up the road. She listened with care and to my surprise she related that she and her friends had a similar experience. Downright shameful.
All in all I will definitely be back to Buzz Inn on 19th for down home food but more so for the warm and inviting atmosphere of the waitstaff. And if you’re there and are being served by Kate, take care of her cuz she’s definitely taking care of you.
And if you’re curious about the place that was amiss in service it was Emory’s on...
