I decided to order a meal from Red Robin today through Door Dash for my birthday dinner. After ordering this meal I watched the Dasher go to this establishment and wait for my food to be finished and then leave with my order and bring it directly to my home with no stops in-between, this being provided through updates on Door Dash. Upon receiving my order I was stunned to find the food cold, some items burnt ( pretzel bites ), some items that were hard and stale and very clear had been cooked awhile before ( french fries ) and the vanilla shake was completely melted and had a really funny taste to it. I dumped the shake down the sink , fed the fries to my dog and still have the burnt pretzel bites so basically all I got was a hamburger that believe me did not look, taste or was warm for $30.00 not including Door Dash fees. I did call Red Robin and spoke to a manager, I think his name was Mike and expressed my unhappiness and anger and said that if I was there in person I would have sent it back, probably left the establishment and simply taken my business somewhere else. I explained that I could not blame Door Dash and why. I stated that this was my Birthday dinner and eating out is something very rare for me and also that I wanted nothing in return from Red Robin I just wanted to make them aware and express my unhappiness and that I would not be returning to any Red Robin establishment any time soon for any orders or dine in food. I was then told that he wanted to make it right and stated he would like my E-Mail to send gift card ofcourse I gladly provided it and thanked him for listening to my complaint. He again apologized, told me he would like immediately send this gift card and to have a happy birthday and thanked me for allowing for another opportunity to make this issue right. Well do you think I have ever recieved this gift card....answer is no. But you didn't want anything you may say and that is a correct statement but please don't state your going to make it right and offer this to me and then not do it. This has left a really bad taste In my mouth in more ways then one and it will be a very long time before I give Red Robin any more of my money because in today's times money doesn't grow on trees and is hard to come by. I would also like to thank Red Robin for the personal relationship I have now obtained with my bathroom ... I'm pretty sure it was the shake, I wonder what I'd be like if I drank the whole thing? Happy...

I considered ordering from a smaller restaurant but we were running late and I felt like ordering from Red Robin would be quicker and more convenient--boy, was I ever wrong. While using the website to place my order I was unable to add a comment requesting "honey mustard" and each time I typed the word "mustard" the word would disappear. If this function is intentional I find it off-putting that such a popular restaurant chain wouldn't be willing to throw in some free condiments upon request or at least provide menu options to add them for an upcharge. I was also unable to find milkshakes on the online menu, although I know they are available at this location. We decided it'd make more sense to just call and talk to a human being. But when I called the person I spoke to was also unable to type a comment with the word "mustard". Instead they typed "hm" to indicate honey mustard and we never received that condiment with our order. How hard would it be to just talk to the kitchen staff or write "honey mustard on the side" on a piece of paper and hand it to them? They also told us there were no milkshakes available for pickup and I wonder if there's really no work-around here. Why can't we order milkshakes to go? Is it a temperature issue? Because all of our hot food was COLD when we picked it up just 30 minutes later anyways. I don't feel like our expectations were high--we just wanted a warm meal with a single condiment on the side and a milkshake. The online ordering experience was frustrating, the staff seemed powerless to help us, an item was missing, and all our 'hot' food was cold. I wonder about the motivation and incentives in this store. It just seemed like nobody wanted to do their due diligence to ensure we got what we paid for and if the staff doesn't care about the customer's needs, it makes me wonder if the management cares about their staff's needs. Whatever is going on behind the scenes, it's affecting the whole customer experience and I don't think we'll be returning...
Read moreOur server was Emilio. He right off the bat threw me off with taking our drink order (party of 9) with not writing down anything. Being in the food service industry, I thought give him a chance. Sure enough he missed 4/5 childrens drinks. Which we then waited 10 more minutes for. It gets better. He then proceeds to take our food order without noting a single thing! We had many modifications and dietary needs. I even asked him you got all that? He laughed and walked away. About 20 minutes later 3/9 dishes came out. Then about 15 minutes went by and 2 more dishes came out. He then comes over and has the audacity to ask if we’d like to go boxes. One of us said we haven’t got the rest of our order. We’re pretty upset but still patient at this point. And then finally 2 more came about 5 minutes later. If you’ve counted that is 7/9 dishes. He had forgotten 2 plates of food with one for a child. I had to hunt him down and tell him and he said oh yea I’ll grab those. No they waited even longer when everyone was almost finished completely. Given the food wasn’t that great. It was okay the kids were hungry so they ate most of all of their food. The whiskey river wrap was disgusting my sister couldn’t even take 2 bites of it. We had had it at this point. Not to mention no napkins, no check ins after the food was served by his coworkers, no refills nothing….we finally got the manager who was ever so kind to take care of half the bill for us and give us free dessert coupons. Which we won’t be back for to use. If you want good service, good food and good atmosphere go across the street...
