Great place to take kids for a couple hours, but birthday parties here are even more ridiculously over priced than before. Extra birthday jumpers are $35/each, but there is no certain amount of extra jumpers that will get you any extra party benefits, such as more pizza. And it only costs $29/each at most for anyone to just come and jump for 2 hours. So you’re paying an extra $6/each for nothing by having a party here. Food is outrageously overpriced for the parties as well, and quality does not match the price. Will never have another party here after the last one a week ago, and that was our third birthday party here over the last three years.
In response to the owner: As it was explained to me in detail on the phone when I booked the party, there are no extra benefits for having more party-goers than the base 10 that the party was for. No extra pizza, water bottles, nothing. The items he mentions are included like birthday crown, squirrel plushie, water bottle, etc. are already included in the party stuff and does not matter how many people you have you get nothing else. The birthday crown is a cardboard cutout with elastic, and the 60min jump pass that they include after is only a $19 value. A party goer ended up getting their own squirrel plushie out of a claw machine there during the party, so it isn't even like that is an exclusive party only thing. The reusable water bottle is neat, but my child was turning 5 and the water bottle is not one that she will be able to use easily, so that's not really worth it either.
Additionally, the website has changed between now and summer 2023 when I last had to look to book the previous birthday party, and they no longer offer what this owner is saying regarding to different birthday party sizes. There is only one size of party at their open indoor picnic tables, and one size of party for their smaller private room and one size of party for their large cube room, and they all mention that if you have more guests than the party allows "ensure to add additional pizzas to accommodate your guests". Extra pizzas are $20 each, and they charge $1 for each additional topping that is added. They make no mention of including more pizzas or water for so many more guests. Also the party person I spoke with on the phone told me there is no extra pizza included based on number of party-goers, and I remember because I asked that as there used to be two tiers of birthday party for each location type (picnic tables, private room, cube room). Just wanted to clarify that, as maybe the owner is not aware of these birthday party changes. All in all though just a disappointing reply and way that they're trying to do business, but I understand; they're in the business of making money.
Thank you, I do appreciate you taking the time to respond. But please next time make sure you are up to date on the items and policies that you are trying to...
Read moreWe had been to Flying Squirrel Everett 2 times but we had an unfortunate and unpleasant experience this time. This time my kid wished to try other trampoline. She jumped from one where she did twist her hand. It hurt her but she went on playing.
Well, We also had an incident where a boy was hit badly from the bench. Everyone(except STAFF) was rushing to help. I mean the kid is crying and none of the staff members was concerned. Forget concerned, we have to look for them. We asked for water, ice. Blood is flowing out from a 5 year old kid's forehead and you cannot see the kid got hurt. There is no incident management in place. There is no first aid. These are just money making place. They have Zero safety measures. Staff is too less. They have metal benches, hardly any lighting in the celebration area. You cannot understand which kid belongs to which group. It was so crowded. There is no staff member near the benches. If you need anything, you do not have anyone to call. Generally in such places, there is designated one person whom you can ask for something if you need. I would suggest all the parents to boycott Flying Squirrel unless they take proper measures to fix this. No proper lighting in celebration area Metal benches are totally NO-NO, kid or adult anyone can get hurt Less staff - irresponsive staff - Be it asking for kid to buckle up. They are super slow and most of the times, they have no idea which kid to attend Age appropriate signs - be it trampoline - no sign what age kids appropriate is what trampoline. If the kid break his/her elbow, it's your responsibility because you have to sign the waiver before entering. But this is very serious. no crowd control I feel that even they don't know which group allotted time is over or not There were very big kids also at the same place where little ones are playing and there is no control on their acts or roughness. It's very easy in such places for kids to get hurt.
I feel that without safety measures such places must be locked up. Parents, if you care about health and safety of our kids please think before going/celebrating in...
Read moreIt was my first time here and it was confusing. I should have maybe looked at more reviews or photos as the jump area is not easily seen from the entry and parents are supposed to get a (free if not jumping) wrist band to accompany children in the jump area, so I did not realize there was seating IN the jump area to be able to watch/be nearby.
Instead the most obvious seating was straight back in a cafe area with no view of the jump area. What was most visible was an all glass-enclosed birthday party room right next to both check in and the entry walkway to the jump area that looked perfect for anyone wanting to cosplay as goldfish, but not so inviting for hosting a party with one shred of privacy.
Once I discovered the seating in the jump area, there is no way I could have sat there. It was WAY too loud. As in this is a space that specifically caters to small children too loud. I did not ask for it to be turned down, but I did notice that the children we were there jumping with came out to the seating area and other areas where the music was not as loud far more frequently than any other jump place we've gone to. Yes for water, but also for more breaks. There was a soft-play structure that held mild interest for the early elementary children and an entire closed play area was viewable from the café that might have been fun if it was open. It was quiter in those areas but I do not know if it would have stayed that way in terms of music volume had the additional play area been open.
We went because for children with allergies, the food area is distinct and seperate from the jump area seating. Other jump places might be noisy too, but the music is definitely not cranked as high and the seating areas have reasonable views of the jump space.
Overall the actual jump space was decent.
IF I ever return here it will be during a sensory-friendly event or it will be because the little friends with allergies invite us again, in which case I will bring earplugs and inquire about the music volume if it is...
