Nine months ago I gave this 5 stars and it still is. Test pilot small batch beers are fantastic forays into what a brewer can do without having to experiment with a few hundred gallons. Last week was a beer using Sabro and Azacca hops the started wet, finished dry, and tasted fantastic. My guess is azacca dry hopped? A combination of citrus/tropical coconut that is different but understandable as Sabro is a hybrid hops from Yakima only out since April. This week is a black cherry champagne ale. To me more than champagne than black cherry and lively. Hmm.....what evil science is in the barrel...

I've been frequenting Crucible for over 3 years now. And from day 1 it has ALWAYS been an exceptional experience. Dick, Shawn, Paul, and Andrea amongst others have always been upfront friendly, courteous, accommodating and just friendly. There is truly a flavor here for everyone. Don't just come for the beer, come for the event. Trivia, pinball, Superbowl or just randomness. If I was to run a business this is what I would want my customers to experience. Again, beer is beer but true care and passion about beer and the environment culminates in a great experience you will want to enjoy time...

Had a few beers here and wasn't very impressed. I think the IPAs were a bit too bitter for the flavor that accompanied it. I am a fan of hoppy/bitter beers, I know a lot of people write negative reviews complaining about something being bitter when it is a bitter beer... The ones I tried just didn't have the balance to justify the bitterness.

Overall, I don't think this is a bad place for a beer but there wasn't anything that set them apart and made me want to come back. Prices and atmosphere...

A fun, limited selection of tasty brews. Pick your own flights available. I recommend the sour. Super refreshing! Server was kind. They seemed understaffed- but who isn't at the moment? Dog-friendly: my friends were able to bring their adorable pom-ski (pomeranian husky mix). !!!Not-so-Secret!!! Awesome perk: the restaurant next door will deliver, if you tell them you're at Crucible! I was able to enjoy an amazing banh mi with my flight. 100% will be back.

Mehhh, I was recommended to try this by another brewer. The paper was great as was the Kolsch, The American IPA was hazier than the New England, and the Dry Stout was still watery, I'm not sure how to describe the black IPA but it was not what I hoped for or expected. To be fair these were not "bad" just not good either. As well it was $13 for a flight of 6 3oz pours, way too much.
