5th UPDATE I decided to come in shortly after they opened today. Like most places this place is understaffed. They have a sign up front apologizing for that. As always services was great and the food was wonderfully fresh as always. I spoke today with someone who works there and it was a delight to be at this Seafood boil restaurant. I appreciate how they go out of their way to purchase the best seafood and products to service folks like myself. Also to the person that said they cook their seafood in a microwave, they need to just go away. This place takes pride in their selection and do not take any short cuts. They pride themselves in searching out vendors who offer the best, so they can serve the best. Also prices here are reasonable, it's what the market calls for, for the great food and service. So give this place a try and please bring your patience, as like with many places they are understaffed, but strive to give great service and food to each person. Thank you for the wonderful food and service ❤️.. 4th update I returned tonite and to my delight. There were 2 large dinner groups newly arrived and prime to order delicious seafood and drinks. I was told ahead of time, that due to the 2 large parties, food would be a while. I told them it was fine. I ordered my go to standard. So that way I have leftovers for my partner. I ordered, Basket# 2 with add on of clams and corn and with Cajun seasoning. My favorite. I awaited my food and was rewarded with fresh hot seafood boil. I recommend you try this place and remember to tip the staff. Bring patience, as word gets out about the great food, this place will only get busier. Which is great for a small place in good o' Everett. 3/3 Update I have now returned a 3rd time.. This time I had the Cajun option along with steamed rice. I had the shrimp, craw fish and clams added in thru their pound option. I also added 2 corns to my boil bag. Since was going to take leftovers over to hubby. For me now the Cajun dry seasoning is my favorite so far. I do wish the shrimp was deveined, other then that. The seafood is fresh and hot when served. 😋. Will visit again next month. This was my second visit. It was considerably busy tonite. So it took sometime for food to come out, which the staff was very polite to mention. I appreciated that. I was recommended their house sauce, as I was told its a combination of all their sauces. I had wanted to get Cajun, but I was told "its supper salty". Kinda wish I had said if they could have had added more Cajun seasoning to my House sauce. It was ok, it was just missing that kick the Cajun dry seasoning offers. Otherwise the seafood was very fresh and tasted wonderful. The house sauce was plentiful in the bag that your order gets delivered in, to your table. You are given a plastic bibb and gloves. Plenty of napkins and there is always the restroom to clean up in. I did hear a few folks ask for appetizers, since food was running behind. Sadly this location doesn't really offer that option at this time. Maybe in the future they will. Their seafood boils main focus is their fresh seafood without all the fuss. There is 2 seafood boil basket options (2 pound minimum), or you can order each seafood item by pound (2 pound minimum). Now the basket option comes with corn and potato. If you order by the pound, remember to add those items. Otherwise you will just get what you ordered. I have always had this fanciful vision of a seafood boil. Filled with seafood, potatoes, corn, tomatoes, onions, carrot ect... and I have told myself, I can do it. Let's be honest, I am never going to take the time to do a seafood boil at home. So I will just allow my eyes to feast on the seafood boil of Tiktoks fan favorite @chefjayvoo. In the mean time, I will welcome another visit to this local gem and allow my taste buds the good fortune of tasting fresh seafood in a seafood boil. Best wishes and good fortune this Everett Mall's very own...
Read moreThe server was rude and the food freshness was ok. My brother almost fell off the chair and he weighs 145 pounds. Won't be returning customers. We went because of the google review and expected 4.5 star service to celebrate sister's birthday and brother's new career. My sister and I huge brunch and since my elderly parents were hungry around 3:10 PM we started the order. During the ordering process, we started with 1/2 fresh oysters, thai tea, coke, beer, cajun shrimp basket with fries (super oily and clumpy battered shrimp) 1/2 fresh oysters, 2lbs of combo A and 1 pound of snow crab (requested the sauce on the side) the waitress questioned why we ordered 3 pounds said should order at least 5 pounds. I told her we ordered other menus and making us explain why we ordered. I told her we'll order more as we feel if we need more but the way of tone and behavior made me feel waitress is unfriendly and kinda rude questioning customer why we ordered. She did check and asked snappy 3 times (within 45 minutes at the restaurant) and provide scissors (I asked for scissors as the tool they provided to crack the crab meat didn't work on soggy shell crabs). However didn't provide extra plates for elderly parents un shelled shrimp and crab to place it (didn't bother to ask snappy toned waitress). About 4:05 PM, I asked for a bill and waitress told me to go up front to pay. They added additional surcharge 3% top of the gratuity of 23.39. We did not see a sign stating extra gratuity and credit card surge charge (no clear & conspicuous disclosure, no signage at the point of entry& sale) at the register. Always ask if they charge extra addition to the order. Didn't know they charged extra $6.99 for a side sauce for the snow crab order, took it home because it was charged without knowing it...
Read moreIf you're use to seafood boils from places like The Boiling Crab in CA... this tries to be it but it's different. We came on Saturday at 6pm, and it wasn't busy so we were seated right away.
This review is from someone that's eaten at many seafood boil in bags type of restaurants.
We ordered Combo A which has a 2lbs minimum. So we got 1lb of each: crawfish, shrimp, and mussels... House special sauce, medium spicy. And wanted to order sweet potato fries, were told they sold out so got garlic fries instead. The menu says $19.99 per pound, except the wall price clearly said $15.99 for crawfish and we were charged $19.99...
The shrimp and mussels were good. Crawfish was big and OK, we maybe got like 8 of them and obviously most of that weight was in the heads... the sauce was different. It is not a butter based sauce like The Boiling Crab. It was maybe tomato based and thickened with a starch. Not a cajun seafood boil sauce. But it did say "Vietnamese style". The garlic fries weren't good... shoestring style fries, and hard... not much garlic flavor.
They did provide bibs and gloves. But they didn't have an unlimited amount of napkins. We had to ask for more. This is the first seafood boil spot that didn't have a napkin dispenser on the tables.
Also, first seafood boil spot that didn't have hand wash stations. They only had 1 individual bathroom. So I had to watch for people and wait while the sauce dried on my hands. How do they do it when the place is packed?
We drove out from Bellingham... would not do again.
$77 + Tip....
