3.5 stars on our visit. Food here just good for the most part. Tucked in an out of the way corner and easy to miss. Beautiful décor featuring lovely parasols hanging from the ceiling. Staff busts out a loud greeting upon entry. Our service was personable if a bit slow on food arrival. Not sure about the other options for sushi in Fairbanks but if there is better, I’d love to find it if I return. Unfortunately, the food my DW had-listed as a daily special-was anything but. Simple, from a box frozen “tempura” butterfly shrimp. Had the same quality at home. Disappointing. My Pink Lady roll (tempura shrimp, lobster, topped with salmon-with eel sauce and spicy mayo-put on the side as requested) was a nice combo of flavors but I wonder about the presence of any lobster. Sure felt missing. Also ordered two pieces of Unagi Sushi that seemed overpriced compared to my local shop at home. It is Alaska though. Eel pieces quite small, but flavor was good. Just had delivery. Food tasted good but one bite of each roll revealed a big issue. My spouse and I have celiac disease (wheat, barley, and rye cause us organ damage and very unpleasant symptoms). We carefully ordered accordingly from the menu. Our sushi had tempura inside the filling. I double checked and it's not listed in the ingredients online. Called and confirmed the rolls were designed with tempura in the filling. Cross referenced multiple apps to be sure it wasn't a Doordash issue. It's an issue for every iteration of the menue I found. It's hard to convey how much this is going to mess up my next 3 days. It's likely going to interrupt work and plague my days off with violent illness and pain.

We love sushi and this restaurant came highly recommended by a friend who has lived in Fairbanks and has been coming here for years. We inquired with the server if there were any specials, but there were none. We decided to order a Sashimi Deluxe, King’s Roll & Pink Lady Roll. We asked our server what else he would suggest and surprisingly his response was what we’ve ordered is more than enough! Wow! What business doesn’t want you to order more?! You just lost my business after this visit! Still in shock, my immediate response was to say we could eat a lot of sushi! Obviously this server doesn’t want our business so we didn’t order anything more. The rolls were both good, but could use more sauce. More sauce though is a matter of preference.
