August 31, 2023 - Sitting on a jet for 10 hours I hope provides Context ! Sometimes folks need the background facts to understand a review, so here goes. . . My wife & I we’re exhausted from 3,500 miles in the air, from MAINE ! Unfortunately our last leg, the Captain announced air turbulence, so beverages & food service was curtailed. Arriving in Fairbanks at 10:30 pm few places are open that serve food. Our hotel clerks recommended walking a few blocks to Sicily’s Pizza. By now it’s 11:30 pm, we’re starving ! Normally my reviews are lengthy, well researched, and have a lot of photos to back up my points about the food, service, decor, and dining atmosphere . . . Sorry folks! It’s simple , we’re in Alaska , not New York City, or the “ North End” in Boston! It’s a small pizza establishment close to midnight, with 2 or 3 people doing the work. . . for the customers that call in, text in, or walk in ! Their pizza is freshly made, looking at the stacks of 5 lb bags of flour. The pizza is not a Neapolitan thin crust style, rather a 3/4 inch soft pretzel style, very different from the common styles of pizza in the lower 48 states. But we liked it! We were hungry! We’re thankful for those who are working late at night, and serve pretty good food to those traveling great distances to your home! 👍🏼😃❤️ Can’t wait to see more of Alaska these next 10 days! But your hospitality is greatly appreciated late at night upon arrival at your airport with an empty stomach! ( context)

Very Slow, I ordered delivery and was quoted 45 minutes but it took more than double that time before I got my food. 1 hour and 40 minutes to be exact. Also, prices don’t match online prices. I ordered a 7 piece tender w/fries($15.00), Spicy Buffalo Chicken Salad ($12.00), and a 6pk of Pepsi($7.00). For a 6 pack of 12oz cans of soda I was charged $10.. the online menu says $7. According to the menu my total should’ve been $33 +tax (6% of $33 is $1.98 so roughly $35). Yet it came out to $41. And to top it all off, my fries were soggy and many of them weren’t even cooked all the way through. How do you not cook fries all the way? If you’re going to make someone wait twice as long for their food, the least you can do is cook it thoroughly.

Thoroughly enjoyed Sicily’s Pizza! Ordering online for pick up was easy- they also offer dine in and delivery options. We ordered a medium pepperoni- more than enough for two- the crust is a delicious fluffy crust (they do have a thin option), the sauce was sweet and tangy with plenty of cheese and pepperoni, we absolutely LOVED the garlic bread- so crispy and buttery! We also had the buffalo wings- they’re sauceless but with a little kick. Would most definitely try Sicily’s again!

This place is terrible. The food is "Average" or below average but not terrible in most cases. When its 2am and you really want something they offer its better than nothing. The sauces are sub par. I opened a maranara sauce packet and it looked like that dark thick old tomato paste. Their Garlic butter is sub par. Its like a watery version of Papa Johns sauce with less flavor.

They have an app that constantly messes up and can overcharge or undercharge you depending on how you work it. like adding an item with extra toppings will increase the price but taking items off does not reduce the price (which is pretty standard for most places) but once you add it to your cart is you make the number 2 instead of 1 and then go back to 1 it defaults the price back to when it had no extra toppings. I have reported this multiple times.

The website isnt much better. It is very poorly coded so much that it once told me my first name was invalid. It wont even accept one of my credit cards entirely for no apparent reason. tells me the date is wrong format when its not.

The customer service is TERRIBLE. I recently got "banned for life" from ordering because they messed up my order and refused to fix it. I called them told them all of my sauces were missing (quite a bit) and they offered to bring them out but by the time they got back it would have been stone cold because it didnt even arrive very warm in the first place.

They told me they wouldnt remake the order.. but that they would come get the food and refund me and I could replace the order if I wanted. (which is the exact same thing lol) Then they call me and tell me they canceled my second order. I tell him that the answering service lady told me that I could do this and the man who called me refused. I told him to work that out with her.

They later show up and try to bring me the sauces as im walking out to hand them the food. He tells me they wont remake the order. Im like thats fine just refund the whole thing.

I call the lady back and she tells me she never said i could reorder the food. And that I am banned from ordering. (based on their website and app i HIGHLY doubt that they have the infrastructure to manage and maintain a banned account) . But the lady wouldnt listen to me. I was trying to explain to her how i used what she told me to place a second order and she just would not shut up. she kept talking over me. told me she "didnt have to listen to me" and i had to call back 3 times to get her to listen long enough to get my second order refunded.

It was very unprofessional. I Highly recommend if you are in the mood for late night food... DONT GO HERE.. go get Airport way family restaurant....

Sicily’s Pizza is by far the worst, most disrespectful pizza place I have ever tried to order from. I cannot even begin to express how rude and incompetent the staff is.

Apparently, a pizza takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to get delivered when you live just a few minutes away.

After the first hour, during the first call, a person named Sarah told us the delivery was on its way then immediately hung up on us.

After the second hour, we called and when asked to speak to a manger, we were hung up on once again so we called back. We were told the manager would give me a call.

During the wait for the manger to call, the pizza delivery man appeared asking for $45.00 when our order was $22.79. We refused, as any pizza that takes 2 and a half hours to deliver is honestly not worth paying for.

The delivery man, George, told us “fine, you don’t want pizza then I leave” and left with our pizza.

As soon as he left I called Sicily’s to make a complaint about our experience for obvious reasons. I was told that George, “delivery” guy, told his manager that we paid and took the pizza. I told them that did not happen and their delivery man is a lie and a thief for trying to charge us $20 more than our order. (I have the confirmation email) I asked to be transferred to the manger, (which finally happened after 10 minutes) and she said her driver told her that we didn’t pay, but instead argued it be free and that we then chased him out to his car to get the pizza.

GAPCO, when you open...
