This place is one of the hidden gems of Fairfield, tucked away in the corner of the Bob’s Stores plaza on Post Rd. I stumbled upon it on Google and we gave it a chance- best decision ever! The decor is gorgeous. The food was incredible. Most authentic Sichuan cuisine restaurant in the area, but they also have the Chinese basics that any picky eaters would be more than happy with. We had the red oil dumplings (a must-order), Ma-La Beef with medium spice (essentially a stir fry with to die for tender juicy beef), and house special fried rice. Delicious! The only things we noted were minuscule things we would fix- the chopsticks were a bit too slick to pick our food up, and that a couple of the lightbulbs in the section with the basket lights were flickering slightly. This is an amazing romantic date night spot. And far too underrated. We can’t wait to sit in the outdoor patio next time.

We had a 5:30pm reservation and were sat right away. It was practically empty when we got there. The atmosphere was lovely. Our server was nice and she was very accommodating when it came to splitting checks. The only critique I have of her is that she could have checked on us more. Also, in terms of service, it was disappointing that our food came out scattered (appetizers and entrees). Some people started eating before others, otherwise, their food would have been cold. I ordered the four types of dumplings and they were tasty. I also ordered the chicken lo mein which was good minus the fact that there was a bone right on top, which I thought was odd (you can see it in the picture). My friend ordered the Sichuan bowl and he enjoyed it. Overall, we had a nice evening. I would go back and try new dishes.

This is the only Chinese food in CT that I have actually loved. The food was outstanding, truly delicious. It met my exact expectations as a New Yorker spoiled with access to good Chinese food who has been deprived since moving to CT. In addition to excellent meals (and selections from typical Chinese American to authentic and traditional dishes) the service and atmosphere were both top notch. Friendly service and a clean dining room with soft music and soft lighting. This was overall just a wonderful experience. We had pork belly bao, pan seared dumplings, general tso chicken, and pork with garlic sauce.

I ordered based on something I read. We ordered a couple apps and mains. I'm sorry... We are NOT picky eaters, but we both said never again. I have had authentic Chinese. I grew up going to China town in NYC and my mother was a Nanny for a Chinese family (from China) so I know what to expect. The sweet shredded pork with Moo Shu wraps left a unsettling metalic taste in our mouths. The Chengdu cold noodles were just "eh". (the taste wasn't anything special) The Sichuan red oil dumpling SAUCE was really good, but the dumpling dough was way undercooked and hard or stale. Also it says spicy... Not SPICY AT ALL. The delivery person came to the door with a face full of attitude, and no greeting. I said "hello" and "thank you", he said NOTHING, not even a half a smile. He got a 20% tip in advance, and I was ready to give him more in cash, but not with a delivery attitude like that. I wasted my money. Simply not worth the price. We...

This was my first time here and most certainly my last. They told me to come in 30 minutes and it took an additional hour for my food to come out. I'm reasonable enough to understand that places can have off days, and unforeseen circumstances can happen. But don't lie to the over half a dozen people who, like myself, were all repetitively asking how much longer their food is going to take. Particularly AFTER we paid for our orders.

There's only so many times you can say "5 to 10 more mins" before people start to voice concerns. I was told "5 to 10 more mins" at least four times. With no apologies, kindness, or consideration attached. Basic level decency ceased to exist here. I watched as myself and others were treated as if WE were the burden for simply waiting and inquiring about the food that we paid for. Never....
