If you're looking for Awesome Ribs in Fairfield, keep looking. I visited The BBQ House because of the outstanding reviews. I ordered 4ea. individual Spareribs, Dry, @ ($3.00ea.) a 1+ lb. Dino Rib ($38.89), 10pc. bone in wings (naked) ($10.99), a Brisket sandwich with potato salad ($15.95) and a pulled pork sandwich with fries and Mac & Cheese ($13.95) Let me start off by saying "Everything" was salty. Possibly because of being heavy handed with the seasoning salt. The Ribs were "not" fall off the bone, but I've had worse. (5) The Dino Rib was very juicy and cooked very well. (6) The Wings were tiny and overly seasoned like the other items but was welcome and acceptable on wings. (7) The Brisket sandwich was for my Mother-in-Law, and I haven't heard back. The Pulled Pork sandwich with Fries were both salty according to the misses, but she did say the Mac & Cheese was very good. We won't be craving this place anytime soon, but I'm sure we will try them again, once they've had a chance to refine their recipes to work with Dickey's old equipment.
Update: 09-02-25 I thought I would try them again because anyone can have an off day, I showed up at 11am today (Tuesday) to order a couple of Brisket sandwiches and a half a dozen Spareribs, I was told the Ribs won't be ready for 3-4 more hours... That makes no sense to me... It's a BBQ joint. I understand the other meats might be ready to serve because it takes hours to smoke a brisket and can be done overnight but not having Ribs ready at opening.....

The service was awesome, and the prices were great. I got the 3-meat combo with two sidesāribs, brisket, and BBQ chicken. I also ordered the kidsā meal for my 3-year-old daughter, which came with one meat, two sides, and a drink for only $10.99.
The ribs fell off the bone and were packed with flavor. The brisket was on point, and the chicken had tons of seasoning. The mac and cheese was banging, the sweet corn was fire, and the French fries were perfectly seasoned. They even gave my daughter a free cookie!
We went around 5:30 PM and it was quiet inside. Itās a small family-owned business, and weāve got to show up and support them. Go check them out and treat yourself to some seriously good food.
Did I mention my 3-year-old is a super picky eater? She devoured everythingāribs, chicken, brisket, and even pulled pork. She hates veggies but still...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was really looking forward to trying this new spot. My pickup order included the Cowboy sandwich (brisket and hot sausage), pork ribs, potato casserole, and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. First, the mac and cheese was missing from my order, despite the restaurant not being busy. The brisket sandwich was served on a dry baguette, not the bun pictured, and topped with a single slice of plastic American cheeseāa terrible choice that made the sandwich even drier. A different cheese, like pepper jack or smoked gouda, would have made a huge difference. While the ribs were tender, they were overwhelmingly salty, and even BBQ sauce couldn't salvage them. The potato casserole was bland and uninspired, with just plain cheese that added nothing to the flavor. Honestly, this "grand opening" should be a "grand closing." I wouldn't...
