My mother and I went through the drive-thru to purchase two taco salads. The associate, Colby was very nice. He handed me a separate bag and said, “this is your chili for the salads,” then handed me in a different bag, the salads. For some reason, I pulled into the parking lot and had my mother check the salads because I had never received them in this manner.
The two salads were in a plastic container, half-filled, with brown lettuce and a few pieces of corn. Missing from the salad was salsa, sour cream, cheese, tortilla chips, and overall, it was disgustingly thrown in the container. My mother went in for a refund. Colby said that he couldn’t verify we had purchased them there, despite us just having driven through the drive-thru two minutes prior. When my mother politely explained this, and again asked for a refund, he said “let me make you fresh ones,” to which she responded, “ why didn’t you do that in the first place?” At this point Colby was very rude, called my mother ignorant, and handed her a slip saying it was refunded.
Days later, there was no refund located in my mother’s bank account. She called and asked to speak with the manager. First, Colby said the manager was unavailable, second, he said my mother was refunded cash, and finally he said it would be in the account in four to five days and hung up on my mother. Appalled at this behavior, especially being gaslit, my mother decided to go into the store to speak with the manager. She explained everything that happened, and how disrespectful Colby was toward her. The manager could not locate the refund. My mother asked for an apology from Colby; at which time he insinuated my mother was a liar, raised his voice at her, was extremely rude, and then said my mother was at fault — moments later he walked away. The manager, my mother, and myself were appalled. The utter failure for Colby to acknowledge his actions was irreprehensible. We left the establishment. My mother was extremely upset at the entire incident. Ironically, hours later, there was a refund to her bank account.
Let me be clear: we always treated Colby, and every other associate with kindness and respect. His actions were inexcusable. Based on this, we will never go back to that establishment. I only wish I had taken pictures of the salads to show how gross they were. Colby should be fired for his actions; however, in these times, people like him can completely ignore the basic tenets of customer service, and still keep their jobs. Shame on him.
Us not going back there may not affect Wendy’s business, but at least we know we are not supporting an establishment that allows customers to be treated rudely and with utter disdain — not to mention, a restaurant that tries to serve its clientele food that...
Read moreAlmost EVERY time I have stopped at this Wendy's my order has been wrong, either wrong items or missing something. Wrong drink, no fries, no nuggets, wrong baked potato, and today a chicken blt with only lettuce on it... Where is my tomato and bacon? A chicken pattie with lettuce and mayonnaise, nice one guys, it's a chicken BLT! This is just a chicken L and being pregnant you get your heart set on something and then order and pay for that something you expect to get what you ordered and paid for! I've refrained for months from writing a bad review thinking maybe they'll get their act together, I was wrong, shame on me, I won't be around to see that happen... If it ever does. Disappointed, disgusted and the last thing a food establishment should ever do is leave a pregnant woman this way, not to mention hungry, because now I've got to wait for another work break to hopefully order food elsewhere and get what I actually ordered. From now on I'll pack my own lunch when coming out to the part of the state for work, at least then I'll know it's accurate. This specific location is pathetic at fulfilling orders accurately, always nice and friendly but that doesn't compensate me for wasted time and money... If you've got the time, double check your orders people, I unfortunately did not have the time to open my sandwich to confirm it was made correctly and thought no one can screw up a BLT,...
Read moreWould rate 3.5 stars. The restaurant was alright and the food was delicious, but the service was not the best and it was quite dirty. No one was cleaning the tables and floors, leaving me to mop up a family of 4's crumbs and chili puddles. After I was finished eating I went to the restroom to wash my hands. Now call me a germaphobe, but I'm that guy who likes to open the bathroom door with a paper towel after washing my hands. Mind you the bathroom was abnormally dirty, ironic that there was a sign that read "wendy's cares about cleanliness and your health". The bathroom was modern and only had one of those air dryers, and not any paper towels. The stall was out of toilet paper, and all I had left was my jacket. One problem, I was wearing my favorite jacket. So that was out of the question. As I was thinking on what I was gonna do, a man walked in and I made my grand escape. Anyways, that was it. It was ok for a fast food place. Again not the best. Still would recommend if you dont mind...
