Kind Café – A Serendipitous Find in Fairhope! I was first introduced to Kind Café with the guys while the ladies explored downtown Fairhope for wedding dresses—and it quickly became one of my favorite local finds. The name fits perfectly. There’s a real sense of kindness here, from the upbeat, welcoming staff to the small, thoughtful touches like inspirational quotes on coffee sleeves and the community bulletin board. It’s more than just a café—it’s a little hub of good energy. What really surprised me, though, was the gluten-free bagel. I’ve had my fair share of dry or dense GF options over the years, but this one was genuinely soft, flavorful, and satisfying—perfect toasted with just butter. That alone earns high marks from me. I paired it with a hot cup of coffee, and it was the ideal start to the day. The space itself is cozy and bright, with just the right mix of energy and calm. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in with a book, catch up with a friend, or simply enjoy a moment of stillness before jumping back into the world. If you’re in the area—gluten-free or not—I definitely recommend stopping in. It’s not just about the food; it’s about how the place makes you feel.

In a world where giants roam and one of them happens to be named Starbucks, it’s easy to forget the little Davids holding their ground in our cozy small town. But let’s be real—who needs another cookie-cutter Goliath when we’ve got local legends brewing up something far better? Our local coffee shops aren’t just places to grab a cup of joe; they’re where baristas know your name, where the scones are baked with love (and probably a sprinkle of magic), and where your latte comes with a side of community. 💛 Sure, Starbucks has their unicorn drinks and double-something-frappe-mochas (or whatever they’re serving these days), but can they match the heart and soul poured into every cup at our beloved local spots? I think not! This isn’t just a David vs. Goliath battle, it’s about keeping our town’s charm alive one cup at a time. So let’s raise our mugs to the real coffee champions—our local cafes—who put up a fight every day, all while serving up the best brew in town. Let’s give Starbucks a friendly nudge and remind them that in this town, it’s the little guys who keep us caffeinated and connected! ☕👊 Support local, sip local, and let’s keep David slingin’ shots for many more rounds!

The name “Kind Cafe” says it all. This is by far the BEST coffee shop in Fairhope. The owner, Alex, goes above and beyond for his customers and has such a high standard for his business! I highly recommend this place to everyone. The outdoor patio area is our favorite place to enjoy ourselves. I love that there are indoor and outdoor games and toys for the kids. My daughter enjoys this so much! The indoor and outdoor area are the cleanest Ive seen elsewhere. The employees greet you with a smile, are so helpful and friendly, makes all the difference! I love the wide variety in their menu, the vegetarian and gluten free options, and the clean, fresh ingredients. The bagels are amazing- we love “The Cheyenne”, the day old bagels, and my friends have said wonderful things about the muffaletta bagel :) The mushroom drinks are aso my favs! Ordering ahead is so easy, they a have rewards system, have frequent specials, and also text/email special coupons. They also offer pup cups! :) Thank you Kind Cafe for...
