Section Street Pizza — Restaurant in Fairhope

Review primarily on food quality. Upon an unexpected stay at a local hospital I found myself in desperate need of a good Pizza pie. I live in Spanish Fort which is devoid of a good local Pizza joint so I took advantage of being in this part of the Eastern Shore.

The pie arrived nice, warm and grease free with a nice dusting of flour still around the edges. Found the crust to be the best part of the whole. The crust was chewy with a nice sweet/savory bite to it. A bit of yeasty’ness ( is that even a word ?) finished the bite. Not sure of the milk/fat ratio of the cheese they use but it was not oily rather full of flavor. Sauce was as basic as Pizza Sauce should be. The only issue I had was I had wished the tomatoes were puréed or crushed more.

Additionally, I also had a small side Caesar Salad which was fresh and crispy. Dressing was nothing special.

In summary SSP provides an excellent, homemade pie with quality ingredients and you should support them with your next family pizza dinner…I only wish they delivered to...

The absolute best pizza I’ve found in Fairhope, Daphne, or Spanish Fort. We moved here from New Orleans a year ago and I’ve tried anywhere that serves pizza because I’m a total pizza freak. I had given up and turned to frozen pizza until we found this place. Nothing even in the surrounding areas comes close to competing with Section Street Pizza. My pizza was total perfection, not too much sauce, not too little cheese, and a beautifully tossed crust. The Caesar salad was also really delicious. We came in around 8:25 because my boyfriend got off work super late, I have been in the service industry for 15 years and was nervous about upsetting the staff because they close at 9 but they were all really great and really kind and quick. We ate and were out of there by 9 but never felt rushed or like we were an inconvenience. I’ve also had the chicken avocado salad to go and it was so delicious and they prepare it with the chicken and dressing on the side when it’s to go, very thoughtful. Can’t wait to...

The best pizza around and the greatest staff. As a Board Member of the Down Syndrome Society of Mobile, the mother of one of the employees of Section Street Pizza and an individual who is known for advocating for individuals with disability. I would like to say how delighted our organization, my husband and I, and our son are thrilled that this business and others are willing to hire individuals with disabilities. For our individuals to have “real” life jobs, with above “minimum” wage pay is rare and awesome. Our son loves what he does and is extremely proud of his work. He strives to be the best at what he does. He greatly appreciates the opportunity afforded him.
