Amazing food and even better service! We went during brunch on Saturday and sat on the patio. Great selection of Latin Cuisine. My son asked if they had a "Good" steak option, and the waiter recommended an off-menu top sirloin with roasted vegetables, which my son selected.
We ordered queso as an appetizer to go along with the chips, salsa, and bean dip we were served when we sat down. The complimentary salsa and bean dip are both VERY good. The salsa is very flavorful with just enough heat for all to enjoy. The bean dip is a nice compliment to the salsa.
When the entrees were served, everyone was envious of the steak my son was served. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection and was served on top of a sauce that was umami personified! The roasted vegetables appeared to have zucchini, yellow squash, red bell pepper, onions, and more.
I ordered the Sopes from the brunch menu. I had one with brisket and one with beef. They were topped with fresh guacamole and sour cream. They were both very good and definitely added to my list of favorites.
My son could not stop telling us all how AMAZING his steak was, so I had to try it. I have to agree with my son; the steak was truly amazing, and the sauce elevated the flavor to another level. The roasted vegetables were delicious and added to the greatness of the steak. If you love a great steak, you will not be disappointed with this offering. I'm not sure if it's a secret menu option or daily special, but we will be asking for it again and again. The steak was at least 10 or more and was only $24, which is a bargain for a perfect steak!
I honestly can't say enough positive things about this restaurant. Service is superior, and everyone was more than happy with their food and drinks. Restaurant was impeccablely clean, including the restrooms. There is a baby changing table in both the men's and ladies' restroom, which was nice for changing our grandson.
I've been to other Gloria's locations, and all have been great in every way. But there's something special about this particular location.
Kudos to management and a big "Thank You" to all the staff, especially our server on the patio, Isaio (apologies if I misspelled the name). Everyone worked in perfect harmony to ensure all the guests had the best experience. We'll be coming...
Read moreWe’re in town visiting a friend and her fiancé recommended Gloria’s, we sat out on the patio and the ambiance was great. Margaritas were delicious and the bean dip was to die for. Which earned it the second star in our rating. Our service and meals on the other hand were mediocre at best. We met late for dinner and the restaurant wasn’t too busy, our server checked on our table in increments of about 20-30 minutes. Our waters were refilled once and it was because we flagged him down for more. He took our drink order after 20 minutes of being seated and when he brought a margarita to the table, he rushed away without asking if we were ready to order our meals. Never once asked us if we would like a second beverage. However, seemed attentive to the few surrounding tables since he was able get them in and out quickly. When he brought our checks it was another waiting time of 20 minutes. He ran one of the three checks and out of frustration of our wait, we decided to go up front and speak to the manager. We were there for over two hours as a party of 3.
Our friend who has a gluten allergy ordered from their very limited gluten free menu. The tilapia was over cooked, and the vegetables undercooked. She sent her meal back after one bite of it tasted too fishy, chewy, and overcooked. She then asked for the shrimp which again was unappetizing from being too chewy. Five shrimps in, she threw up her entire meal and spoke to the manager about it and he kindly comped her meal.
We weren’t going to complain to the manager but after waiting once again to pay out we decided to let him know. When we spoke to him it felt like he was assuming we were trying to get our meals comped and deterred the conversation away from the service and on to how he accommodated my friend. He proceeded to tell us our friend probably had a stomach bug, however she was fine until she ate her meal. He ended up discounting our meals 50% which was appreciated, but we all felt frustrated being brushed off and exhausted after the long 2 hours at the inattentive restaurant and walking away ill.
Overall, the service was exceedingly slow! I’ve been to several restaurants and even worked in one. I’m fully aware of what it takes to provide excellent service. And tonight was probably the worst service experience I’ve ever had at...
Read moreI went on a Friday which I knew would be busy so I was very patient. Took forever to bring our drinks took forever to refill Our drinks and took forever to get our food and yet I was still patient and kind to the waiter. I had asked for lemons so that I could eat it with my meal. I sat there for 12 minutes waiting until he came back and asked me if I needed anything. I reminded him that I needed those lemons and it took him another five minutes to bring back those lemons. By that time, my salmon was cold, and again I was still patient. I finally got my leftover containers and I had them sitting at the end of the table and a manager came up and asked me if I needed a bag. I told her yes so she proceeded to put my three food items in the bag. As she sat the bag down it knocked over glasses like a domino effect of salsa, Waters and food that went all over my table and fell all over my daughter’s clothes, purse and shoes. The manager said she was sorry sent some other waiters to come help clean up the mess and told me that she would cover my two desserts and my daughter’s meal and if I washed her clothes I can send her the receipt for it. Mind you. The water and salsa and food went all of her clothes, purse and her new converse. She is a young girl who works hard babysitting and those 2 flan and enchiladas don’t even amount to the cost of her converse. So not only is her purse ruined and some items inside but her hard earned money that she used for her converse are damaged. I am not happy with this Gloria’s. In all the years that I have been coming to Gloria’s I’ve never had an...
