Our first visit to Morgan's Cantina since its opening was a great experience. We had a 7 pm Friday reservation, and while the parking lot was packed, there was free off-street parking nearby. The atmosphere inside was immediately appealing, a great energy with music at a comfortable level and a beautifully calming aesthetic. We were promptly greeted and seated. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the Carne Asada and the Taco Verde Bowl (with added chicken). While my husband's Carne Asada was a standout, a large, flavorful steak he thoroughly enjoyed (even the usually avoided beans), the chicken in my bowl was slightly salty for my taste. However, both dishes were overall delicious. The $92 bill (including tip) felt reasonable for the quality and the 20-minute wait time. The restaurant boasts stunning views of the lighthouse and Braga Bridge. My only slight disappointment was the limited non-tequila drink selection. I'd love to see options like a piña colada or sangria added. Thankfully, I enjoyed a sample and a glass of their Riesling. The overall vibe was fantastic, lively and enjoyable. We noted that while family-friendly in general, the atmosphere seems better suited for adult gatherings. We definitely recommend a visit and will be returning.

My first time here was for a birthday party with 7 guests. I'm giving a 5 star review because it's clear that the staff cares very much about the customer experience. But I would like to note that they are still very new and it's important as a guest to remember to be patient and kind to people in the service industry. Especially when they are still working out the kinks and learning what works for them and what doesn't. I hope to see a more convenient waiting area as to not be in people's ways while waiting to be seated. The fajitas were INCREDIBLE but did not sizzle or steam which is one of the best parts of getting fajitas no? The Queso took a very long time to come out but as I mentioned before they are still working out the kinks and mentioned the kitchen was getting backed up. Our server was Danni and we had a blast with her. She made the visit very welcoming and served a table of 7 with zero mistakes! The drinks were delicious and the food was spectacular. I don't know who Morgan is, but she gets it! I look forward to seeing her and her crew crush the waterfront and I'm wishing them many years of success and great achievements ahead. 💃

The restaurant is stunning on the inside in terms of decor. My friends and I went for a late lunch at around 2:30 PM on a Saturday. During this time, the bar was packed and most tables had customers. It took a few minutes to be seated at a table by the hostess after she assisted another party waiting for a table in front of us. Once seated, unfortunately, it took a while before the hostess ended up coming by asking if we wanted something to drink. My friends each got an alcoholic drink, and I stuck with water, which was provided at the table. Danielle, who was a server during our visit, came by after the hostess took our beverage order, asking if someone had taken care of us, and we let her know that the hostess took our drink order. It took at least twenty minutes for my friends to get their drinks. Danielle was going to take our food order after the drinks arrived, but, since the hostess took our drink order, Danielle could not put in our food order because the hostess claimed our table as hers in the POS system. The hostess ended up taking our food order at around 3:15 PM. Other customers who sat near us made us aware that there was a long wait in terms of service, but they said the food was worth it. Danielle came over shortly before our food arrived at 3:45 PM letting us know that one of our meals was not up to standard, so she had the chef redo the meal, especially since we had waited so long to eat. When our food arrived, the roasted half chicken was delicious. The chicken fell right off the bone and had great flavor. However, I felt that the roasted cauliflower was not as hot as it could have been. The poblano risotto was yummy too, and the hot honey was a nice touch. My friend enjoyed his chicken tacos, but my friend that got the steak tacos said that his steak was cold. They both also commented that the rice served with the tacos was really dry, but they enjoyed the cowboy beans. At the end before receiving the bill, the hostess asked us if we wanted another round of drinks, stating that it would not take as long, or dessert, but we decided not to. The hostess also was kind enough to comp our drinks as an apology for the delay in service. Danielle also thanked us for our patience during our time there. Danielle was helpful with splitting our bill and assisting us with payment with the POS system. Overall, it was clear to us that the restaurant still has kinks to work out in terms of how it operates. My friends and I are willing to come back again in at least a few months; at that time, hopefully everything will run a lot smoother and make for a better dining experience.

Visited for dinner on a whim with my son & husband. We sat at the bar as we didn’t have reservations but the view was stunning! Bar staff were personable and attentive to our needs. The drinks were tasty and prepared with obvious thought. We each ordered different menu items which were plated and presented beautifully. However, the corn tortillas on the tacos were not warm or pliable. The moment I picked up the taco the tortilla broke in half leaving a mess of the protein. Unfortunately my husband shared the same experience. I would like to note that the protein flavors (shrimp and steak) were delectable but I would recommend sorting out tortilla quality/preparation. Overall it was a pleasant experience visiting the establishment and I look forward to seeing whether minor adjustments are made by request of diners!

I ordered a smokes drink that sat at the bar so long before they served it there was no smoke left in the vessel. The waitress just said we'll there's no smoke left. The bartender never should have let it go out that way. Ither tables were receiving their drinks in a smoked dome. I was a bit disappointed. It tasted good though. The piece of fish I ordered was very tiny for the price. I saw another table order it and theirs was much larger. There seems to be no consistency. Seems like they have a few kinks to work out. Might not go back for a while.

Morgan’s was a beautiful restaurant that definitely feels high end. My largest complaint was the food was just bland. I had the guacamole and the Barria Mac and cheese. The guac was fresh and the chips were nice but it needed more salt. The Mac and cheese was very bland unfortunately. The meat looked excellent so I was surprised by how little flavor it had. I had a Jalapeño margarita which was excellent. Ultimately it was a bit pricy and a bit disappointing, I’ll definitely go back to try the place again once the growing pains shake out.
