I have been an employee for Falmouth papa Gino’s for the past 6 months. I became one of two main grill workers in my stores location, closing 5-6 nights of the week. I’m a good worker and was told by the stores newest manager that I was one of their best employees. On top of that, almost since I first started working for papa Gino’s, I have been told by my managers that I have a lot of potential to become a store shift manager. When management changed, a lot of problems came with it. For example, scheduling went way out of whack. For someone who closed almost every night, I have witnessed first hand the lack of proper scheduling made by the stores new general manager. I have no experience working with the pizza area of the kitchen, so you’d be surprised to know that there were countless nights were I not only closed my grilling area (which is already the most time consuming part of closing) but I have closed the pizza area as well. I have given a lot of time to making up for our managers inconsideration. I have done everything that has been asked by this manager and they have praised me for my effort on multiple occasions. So it was a surprise for me to be told by this manager that I no longer had a job there after I had called out of work for a serious allergic reaction. I was told that I would be cleared as long as I had a doctors not. On my end, I know it was inconvenient for me to call out on the day of my shift. But I did have a legitimate reason to prevent me from working. I communicated these things with the store manager so she knew it was a probability that I wouldn’t be coming in that day due to medical reasons. The next day, knowing that I had a doctors excuse note, I was fired. The store was already understaffed as it is, and then because this manager felt personally offended that they had to experience closing for the first time on my behalf, it was decided that proving a personal point was a good enough reason to fire a reliable employee. The store is already understaffed for pizza employees, and now it is also understaffed for grill employees. The other main grill employee has been taking up the responsibility of maintaining the pizza area. And now that I have been terminated, there’s no one to consistantly look over either area. The store is facing a lot of problems and instead of being able to function effectively, one manager decided to let go of good employees and face serious...
Read moreMy all time favorite pizza is from Supreme. I bought mine there this night thankfully however, my visitors wanted the pizza deal from papa Gino’s for super bowl. That place is disgusting! Absolutely disgusting. The people making the pizzas were reaching into the toppings BARE HANDED... no gloves. The team leader Darin or devin ... pushed around a couple pizzas in the box bare handed after touching everything! I said to the manager “ you all don’t use gloves?” . Her response was “ well if it’s on that side it will go through the oven and kill any germs”. Seriously is she kidding? So what about “not the oven side” and she said “no it’s hot “. Well we did get them and with all the bacteria out there , hopped for the best ( I didn’t eat it I had Supreme pizza) . Well they decided they couldn’t eat it so we threw away $33- dollars. Never will go back. Oh I called the corporate office and no call back. My son said the papa Gino’s where he lives is great and clean. I’m guessing it’s the manager and staff that think this filthy practice of no gloves is acceptable. Shame on you. Dirty...
Read moreI typically avoid this place, but the people I was dining with wanted to try it out. Big mistake. Ordered a salad, meatballs and breadsticks. Salad came with no dressing but I had some at home, but when we opened the lid, there was a hair. Pulled the end hoping it was just small and on top, could be easily removed. Was very long and completely intertwined with the salad. That went in the trash without anyone eating a bite. The meatballs were cold in the center as if they hadn't been in the sauce long enough to serve. Had to heat them to a proper temp to be sure they wouldn't make anyone ill. Called to speak to manager and was left on hold, then disconnected. The staff and restaurant were all kinda grubby looking except for the cashier who rang in our order. She was pleasant and professional. Her name was Diane and she was great. Thank you Diane for being the best part if that...
