Definitely won’t be back.
I love Qdoba, but normally frequent the other Fargo/Moorhead locations. This location is open later, so I placed an online order at 8:15pm. I arrived exactly a half an hour later, the place was a complete mess and the employees were just standing around talking (They saw me come in, but argued with one another about how many “points” an unexcused absence is instead of assisting me).
After 4-5 employees completely ignored me, one girl asked the name on the order. I told her my name and she couldn’t locate the order. She mentioned that this has been happening lately, and told me to hold tight.
One by one, the employees started asking me the name on the order. Then, they would just go to the back. After a while, the manager (I think his name was Daniel) came to the front and asked me my name [I had given it to no less than 6 people at this point].
I thought he would be more helpful, but he said he couldn’t find the order, but to hold on. Then, he started making other people’s orders (including new walk-in orders).
He seemed like he didn’t believe me, but I pulled up the confirmation email and confirmed that I had the right location. I also confirmed I had been charged. After attempting to find my order again, he decided to finally just make it.
As he asked me my order, he would make a snarky comment or give an eye roll with each ingredient. For example, when I asked for a wheat tortilla he said “why is everybody wanting wheat tortillas?” and when I read 3 cheese blend, he said “well…obviously!” and rolled his eyes. He wasn’t listening as I listed the order from my confirmation email, but I didn’t even press the issue - I left with an incomplete order, and won’t be back.
Many restaurants are experiencing staffing difficulties during the pandemic. This was not an example of that - there were no less than six employees working (including a manager), but they were all standing around doing nothing. When I finally did get assistance, it was with an attitude.
I moved to Fargo a year ago, and was immediately impressed with the general friendliness from the community - this has been my first experience of terrible customer service...
Read moreI ordered curbside pickup from this location. I arrived a couple of minutes after my scheduled pick up time of 4:30 pm and parked in a designated curbside pickup spot. As per the text instructions I text replied "HERE" after I parked. I received a prompt that I would receive an alert when my order was on it's way. After sending the alert I saw two employees in the lobby. Neither acknowledged that I was parked in front of the store in a designated pickup spot. After waiting for about ten minutes I watched another customer walk up to the lobby door only to find the door was locked. The customer then walked away. A couple of minutes after that another employee (not one of the two employees in the lobby) walked out the front door and glared at me and he yelled what I believe was a question from the front door. I couldn't hear what he said as I was in my car, so he finally approached my car and very rudely asked me who my online order was for. I informed him of my name and that I had placed a curbside order. He didn't respond, he just turned around and went back into the restaurant. He seemed very annoyed with me. Finally, a couple of minutes after that I was given my order by yet another employee. Overall the time elapsed from when I arrived to the time when I received my order was approximately 15 minutes. My burrito was cold and the queso was lukewarm. I just found the whole experience unsatisfactory.
I placed my order online, provided my vehicle identification information, and parked in a designated curbside pickup spot. I would have assumed that at a minimum, having a made-up curbside order, combined with a customer waiting in a curbside pickup spot, and finally having the information I provided would have been sufficient for any of these four employees to figure out there was a customer waiting for an order. I don't know why the lobby was closed or what was going on, but I didn't appreciate the attitude of the gentleman who did finally come out or the terrible communication. I left feeling like I did...
Read moreI would not recommend this location for a take out order for more than two people. The restaurant cannot handle the details or accurately fulfill an order, even when given second and third chances. I placed an online order two days ahead of time for three family meals with some extra orders of queso and steak. I picked up the order, and it was ready on time. However I got all the way home (about a 20 minute drive one way) and discovered that they forgot to include any queso in my order. They also forgot to give me the extra steak that I ordered. I called the restaurant and told them exactly what I was missing. The restaurant apologized and said they would refund me for part of the order, and get the queso and steak ready to go. I received the partial refund to my credit card almost immediately. I sent a family member to go pick up the items. When the items were brought home, the restaurant had only sent half the amount of queso that I had ordered. I called the restaurant again and the manager asked me if I was sure there wasn't any queso in the order I had picked up earlier, insinuating that I was lying. I repeated that I was very clear when I spoke to him the first time that we did not receive any queso. He said I would receive another partial refund for my troubles. I did not receive this second refund as he promised, nor did I receive the second half of my queso. Several of the chips in my order were not cooked completely, and seemed soggy. Overall, I like Qudoba's food, but I will not use this location again. Disappointing service, lack of attention to detail, poor management attitude. Don't blame customers for your mistakes.
Qdoba Management: Instead of entering the same canned response to every negative review, try taking real action and get the behavior of your staff under control. There are more negative reviews after the date I posted my original review, so I see nothing has changed. Maybe try taking a Business 101 class, or at least...
