West Acres Bowl — Local services in Fargo

An older facility that has had a lot of upgrades. We bowled in a tournament there and it is on the small side for such a large gathering. Lanes were okay, had a number of mechanical stoppages but they were usually fixed quickly. They only have a snack bar,but it has a decent menu though the staff was pretty grumpy that day. We bowled in a second tournament the next day and it was much more comfortable. I would suggest opening the snack bar about the time the tournament starts to accommodate the crowd and to at least make equipment purchases possible during the tournament. Just had the worst experience at this place. Let me tell ya! We were out bowling with a party at six. With no warning all the lanes shut down. Us and four other separate parties were told that we had to pay up and they had to shut down to "get ready for cosmic bowling". Couldn't just keep bowling? Nope! They wanted us to sit around and wait for it to start. Staff were a joke. Places like this wonder why they lose business to newer entertainment places like KingPinz. The lanes kept on messing up. Had to press reset all the time. We told one of the staff that it was messing up and he state it was a maintenance error just like getting an oil change or serpentine belt going out. Uh oil change? Really? That's gen maintenance but serpentine belt means there is a real problem with you car! Then my phone was taken off the table. When we went back to look for it the staff let a CUSTOMER go through my phone!!!...
