As soon as we entered the door we were half-heartedly greeted by two employees from behind the counter, the server who was standing one foot from us, Amber, completely ignored us. With her back partially turned to us she continued to surf the internet on her cell phone, as we continued to stand there. Finally, Kimber (your best employee on shift as far as we could tell) came over. She looked just as frustrated as we were at Amber, tried to engage her into seating us, and then finally did it herself with an apologetic look on her face as Amber continued to surf the internet, oblivious to us or anyone else. The floor, your entire restaurant floor was one sheet of slick grease. You had to shuffle across it, even the waiting staff was having to do it. If it wasn’t as dangerous and uncalled for it would have been funny to watch. Can you say lawsuit? Our waitress was ok and tried to do a good job (I did not get her name) but I believe she was hindered by surcumstnces. The attitude of most of the staff, the fact that a burger and fries restaurant was out of catsup, that’s right, you were out of catsup. You were out of a lot of things according to our waitress, like bread, I had one selection for my BLT, sourdough. Speaking of my BLT, it was uneventful, one slice of tomato, three pieces of bacon and one giant piece of lettuce that covered the entire plate. I was not impressed. My date’s cheeseburger patty was falling apart and her fries were cold. And as for the endless fries, which you need because the serving is so small, how do you get them? They were never offered. The bathrooms, the men’s bathroom was overall clean, except for the trashcan being full. The women’s bathroom was a mess with paper towels all over the floor. Your staff, I have already mentioned Amber who continued to half hazardly look like she was doing her job between drink breaks (why there was a half a dozen staff drinks on the end of the counter I will never know) and ignoring the manager, all the while wearing a shirt that looked like it hadn’t been washed in days or ironed in never. The manager, get a haircut, shave and get some control over your employees and the restaurant. Stop trying to be cool with the male cook staff, get the nine different colored highlighters out of your shirt pocket, stop trying to act like you’re in charge and be in charge, and stop looking at Amber’s breasts, she is too young for you. Oh yea, you set a terrible example for your staff when you are making a Sunday for a customer and instead of wiping the big crusted blob of old chocolate off the end of the dispenser you just dispense more product onto a customer’s ice cream and be dammed if they have to eat it. The cooking staff, put your hairnets on correctly, turn your hats around and have some pride in what you are doing. The Station Park is a nice shopping area, I expected more from you. I believe if this wasn’t a place children dragged their parents into you would be out of business. Oh yea, you might want to invest in upkeep, the booth we sat in had a large tear in the seat, reminded me of a Denny’s. The only bright spot was Kimber and Joel. They both seemed to be doing the best they could under the surcumstnces. If this was my franchise I would fire the manager, fire Amber, and promote Kimber to manager and Joel to shift leader and give everyone else notice that all of these issues will end now. We will not be returning to...
Read moreI am sad to say this visit was less than stellar. I have gone one time in the past and it was amazing! Today was not. Yes the food was ok. But the service was poor at best. The waitress sold me in a vegan shake but failed to tell me how much it cost and told me a different price. The kitchen was filthy and dishes were everywhere. When I got my bill I was shocked at how I was charged $10 for a vegan milkshake! I immediately went to the restaurant manager on duty and demanded an explanation: which he failed to give. He only said I chose to drink the shake so I needed to pay it up. He said the ingredients were so expensive and he can charge as much as he wants. Which I know the oat milk and ice cream they used were not that pricey. I saw them prepare the shake and know the brands well. So I was price gouged big time. Then he said I owed the waitstaff a tip . I said I won’t considering I wasn’t told the correct price and the service was poor at best. His attitude was indifferent and very rude. He blamed me for the whole situation. I am a foodie and have been all over the SLC valley and never been charged $10 for a vegan shake. And never had a manager tell me he can make up the prices as he wants. Nor been demanded a tip or leave! The manager was a stocky man, olive skin, short with black hair. Wearing a gray shirt. The waitress was a skinny gal with long blond hair early twenties. I swear I am never going back here again. Ever. My whole order was too expensive for two people and I was told to pay up or else. This place is crooked as hell and you will get the same treatment too and be over charged and treated disrespectfully. Just stay...
Read moreFood was OK. I have been to JR's before and been pleased. This is the first time I went with my family (including two young children). The kids meal (Jr. Hotdog) was lackluster but OK for the kids. My burger was cold and tots were way over-cooked. My wife ordered her burger with bacon cheese fries that were almost as good as something you would find at a gas station. My real complaint though was the service. The server seemed to just not care at all. We would ask questions and she just gave a slight emo shrug. We didn't realize the fries weren't included with the burgers, so we ended up with bacon cheese fries, regular fries and tots for the 3 adults and a small fries for each of the kids. We collectively at about half of all that. I ordered a water for one of my kids and told the server we would upgrade her drink to a shake but order it later. When we ordered it she charged full price. None of this would be worth a complaint until we saw the check. With the added cost of 3 separate orders of fries and the shake, the ticket was almost $65. I will probably go back by myself or with friends, but my wife won't ever be back to any Johnny Rockets. It's a shame... took me 8 years to convince her it was worth it. What a time to put your worst...
