The saying never judge a book by its cover definitely applies to this gem. Once you walk inside you'll notice the hand painted chairs, lush looking wood and bar area. Plenty of booths seats and the smell of Fabuloso in the air. The restaurant was super clean, (minus the Ketchup on the bottle that had dried on the side so when I grabbed it and it was on me.) No biggie though.
The waitress was plesant, greeted us right away and let us know we could sit wherever we wanted. She took our drinks right away and brought them back. We were ready to order. Fresh squeezed OJ, in a tall glass. Coffee was great. We had brunch. Hubby ordered adobada skillet, was out of this world good. We asked for some salsa after a while. Waitress brought it right out. I ordered traditional American breakfast and bacon was yummy, hash browns were great! Eggs were missing cheese but I tried them and they were off for some reason had a weird after taste. I didnt finish them just had a couple bites. The biscuits were so hard I couldn't eat them. The gravy was very tasty.
I also tried menudo. Definitely the best I have had in Farmington. My only gripe with it was it wasn't hot enough so got it to go and plan to reheat it later. I am a menudo snob so it has to come with onion, cilantro, lime, oregano and I like mine with Mexican bread which was exactly how they served it. It also came with red pepper chili flakes. The meat had plenty of honeycomb, tripe pieces and not too heavy on hominy. It literally is the best menudo in town. I have tried several popular Mexican spots in town. I will be back to try their dinner. I want something authentically Mexican sometime to see how it is....
Read moreSo i decided to give this place a second chance and it was a lot better than my first time here. So here are some recent pictures of my fajita meat I ordered the meat really didn't have that much flavor to it it was pretty thick fajita to be honest it didn't even taste like fajita meat it tasted like regular beef just sliced up thin to look like fajita meat. But I'll let you be the judge of it on the pictures but as far as presentation wise it was pretty good Let me tell you this food was horrible. I'm never coming here again. The tacos i ordered with rice and beans was nasty. The tacos had no flavor what so ever on them, no onions or cilantro nothing just plain with meat. The only part was the rice and chips. The bean looked orange and was served to me cold. Who eats cold beans, not me. My auntie ordered some green chili soup that had way too much salt in it. How can you give someone soup that salty? It tasted as if someone dropped the salt shaker in it. Lol. Here are some pics I took of the meals. One last thing the drinks were on point meaning very delicious. We had some kind of cucumber drink and horchata. Thank you to the ladies who served us. They were very kind and polite. This place needs a new cook really bad. Please find a new cook. Otherwise, your business is going to be out of...
Read moreThe tables were dirty (not wiped) Floor was dirty (unswept) Our food was very salty, and greasy. We waited more than 25 minutes to receive our food. The cook stared at our table throughout the whole meal (creepy). We ordered the club sandwich w/fries (the sandwich and fries were salty), barria tacos (all the tacos were very greasy too much grease on my corn tacos my tacos became soggy by the time it reached the table we were seated at) I asked for no cliantro on my food, I received cliantro in all my food (I still ate my food, FYI), cajan boil (over seasoned it was too salty) the fries smelled and tasted like onions and old grease. I know it may seem like I am complaining but I am not. Just telling it how we experienced it. We will not be going back. We did thank them for the food and paid 72.00...
