Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Farmington

Service was extremely slow. Walked in at 12:15 am to find the place to be pretty dead. Assumed food would take no time since there were only 12 people total in the restraunt. Me and six others were seated pretty quickly. Waitress was slow to get our order. About 12:30 we finally received our drinks. Right before taking a drink, a weird substance was laying on the top of my sweet tea. When the waitress served food to people besides us who actually came in after us, I stopped her to get a new drink. Time passed and some more people came in. Two groups of three and a group of seven. Our waiter and two other waiters served the various tables. About 1 am we started to wonder if our ticket was over looked because the two groups of three that arrived after us received their food. When 1:15 rolled around, the group of seven that showed up at least 20 minutes after us received there food. Five of our group members decided to leave when they seen enough food given to various tables who arrived after us. They were kind to pay for their drinks and pay for a small bowl of cold chilli. Me and the other person said we were already there so we would just wait for our food. About 1:25 we received our food to find out that the burgers were made wrong. We were nice and said we would just eat them the way they were. The waitress never appologized for the long wait. When we were finished, we thought about just walking out since all the problems I just mentioned. The waitress came over to clean a table and asked us if we wanted the bill. We mentioned to each other what they would give us in good favor for all the mess ups. We were given a ticket to pay the full amount for the two meals. Once again, we were kind and just payed the bill. Right before walking out, the waitress stopped us saying that we did not pay for the other bill. We looked at each other and we're like what? We each got a triple cheese burger and a sweet tea. One sweet tea was not calculated in which I am assuming because what I found in it. I did not mention it because it was the least they could do. I have had bad service in the past from a few different steak n shakes but this one has surpassed them all.

Okay let's start from the beginning I'm apart of the high school band we just got done marching and all at Fox high school, we went to steak and shake for dinner so me and my three friends and some other band members go and wait we told them that we're with the band and we'll need to leave at 7:45. We get seated the four of us we didn't get a waiter till 7:20 we got there at 6:40, people who got there after us already had their food. The only table that didn't was mine and the one infront of us. We had the same waiter Ashley. She got are order. We sat there for an hour. While Ashley was by the soda machine just holding straws just standing there. It was 7:40 we then asked her to just put everything in to go bags and she said she'll go do that. Are food was done it was sitting out. So we didn't get are food till 8:20. Then she took forever to give us r money and cards back. She even tried giving the people with cards money instead of they're cards. Don't get me wrong the food was good. (It was cold) But the service wasn't. The shakes were just depressing. The drinks where fresh dou to another waiter who was amazing and nice. But it was just sad and annoying tbh. We got there at 6:30 and left at 8:45. That's just sad zero tips worst experience I've ever had at Steak and Shake never going again. She was everywhere but where she should have been honestly. Sad. She forgot are drinks and another person had to make them. Idk how it took her that long. There was people in there with more then four people that got their food that got there around 7. I just I feel like we should have gotten a discount dou to what happened and how crazy it is. Honestly. Like I said never...

Well..hadn't been to steak and shake in a while and I had heard that some things had changed..Upon entering, we stood there and nobody greeted us or said hello even though some had made eye contact and knew we were there..So we ended up using the self serve kiosk thing to place our order with no real understanding of how things operated in the store at this point..(later, we saw people being seated like they were at a real restaurant.no clue there).. so we sat down and waited but instead someone came around to confirm our drinks-what was the point of the kiosk then? So confusing.. finally our food came out and it was decent but for $34 it was not worth it. The store itself had lots of employees but it was extremely dirty! Floors were filthy, tables still had trash all over them and then I saw an employee in the restroom wash their hands..then proceed to use the same hand to push all of the trash down in the trash can and walk out-hope those were not the same hands that cooked my food. Will I return-at this point probably not. Businesses continue to demand more money from us and do not up the quality of service to match and this is unacceptable! And btw.. "served" myself at the kiosk and it asked me if I wanted to tip the staff-really?? The tipping culture has gotten out of hand anymore. The food was good enough that if the store could fix its customer service and cleanliness issues I may consider going back--but you...
