My experience at the Nine Way Federal Way restaurant was horrible. When I walked inside the restaurant I noticed multiple dirty tables not being taken cared of and if I'm eating I do not want to look around and see other people's left over food and dirty napkins, I find that is absolutely unacceptable considering this is a 4.7 starred restaurant. Moving on to the food. The only decent thing I had was the Sichuan Cold Noodle and not only was it just decent, it lacked flavor and texture. Almost everything else you order from that place will either lack flavor, texture, and the right amount of spice. I'd give the service 5 stars but I would be over exaggerating. Only good thing about it was he took our order, brought it out fast, and offered us water after two minutes of already asking wouldn't even matter if your water was half way done. While I was scrolling through reviews I saw multiple fake accounts making top notch reviews about almost everything. Would I ever go back? The answer is no. I wouldn't even recommend this to my worst enemy and neither to any of you. Should've went...

I love the decor and the coziness of the place. It is small but they make the most of the space they have.
The food was very good and tasted fresh. I enjoyed everything very much. If I had one minor recommendation it is that the spice level did seem a little inconsistent. For example, in the menu they have spice level indicators. We got 3 items of varying spice level but they seemed to be on different levels than what the menu indicated. It did not in any way detract from the taste, just something I noticed.
I would recommend starting with a lower level spice soup on first visit to see what you are comfortable with. Also reccomemd the dumplings and the Chinese scallion pancake.
The main issue with our visit was the staff attention. We rarely got a visit from the server and he did not return to our table after doing the plates of food off. We had to flag them down for the check to pay.
Overall it was still a nice visit and wouldn't hesitate for...
Read moreWe stumbled across Nine Way and thought we'd give it a shot and we're so glad we did! If you love szechuan spice and food from Chengdu this place will not disappoint! We got two starters, cucumber salad and spicy mung bean jelly. Both were great! We got the noodle soup with pickled mustard green and pork which was delicious. It had a clean flavorful clear broth, the noodles had a little chew, like fresh noodles do, and the pickled mustard green added bites of sour.
We also got the Ma La MaoCai and it was amazing! It's spicy, numbs your mouth and is filled with goodies: lots of meat, tofu skin, mushrooms, spam, tofu, broccoli, lotus root, daikon, squash, and more! The price was so affordable and could feed two!
Everything we got was delicious. Service was great and the food came out fast! We're excited to go back...
