First time to visit Nami Sushi and was looking forward to it as the reviews appeared favorable. Arrived at 4:30pm and my dinner guest and I were the first to arrive for the dinner hour. Ordered the chicken teriyaki dinner meal and the beef teriyaki dinner meal, both were delicious and so was the rainbow roll, one of my favorite rolls. I asked the waitress to recommend a roll and she recommended the lion king, a baked roll with salmon on top and a creamy filling. The service was excellent at the start of the meal w/ an Asian woman who I believe may have been one of the owners, but plummeted shortly after our designated waitress left. I saw her wave bye to the staff as she left the restaurant. After she left we had no service at all and towards the end of our meal, with no service, had waited for our water to be refilled. I saw the waitress at the table next to us refill the guests’ water and was disappointed to see her walk back towards the kitchen afterwards without even a simple glance in our direction. My glass of Diet Coke was also down to ice several minutes into the meal and I would have wanted a second order but no service person came by to check on us. I had to do the tacky thing of waving my the empty glass in the air at the waitress and she came with the pitcher of water and a smug attitude, not even acknowledging my empty Diet Coke glass or asking if we needed anything. The one thing I can’t stand at any place of service is an employee with attitude. This restaurant prices its selection of dishes more expensively than its neighbors in this area, and with the increase in price (we paid $111.20), we would think service would be at par with the food. I hope the owners and waitstaff will read this review and make improvements to their service. I would have left a $20+ tip had the service been better. Because the food was good and the service was good at the start, I left a $10 tip, which is gracious considering the overall experience was disappointing at best. I believe it was one of the owners, an older Asian gentleman, who came to take away our dirty dishes and give us the bill. No friendliness in his disposition but perhaps he’s all business. The waitress’ recommendation was the least favorite of what was ordered. I don’t think I will visit again.

Nice experience overall, from the food to service. The price was higher than I expected, but entree portion made up for the cost. It was a bit busy, all things considered, but they were able to manage spacing pretty well and it wasn't very noisy, even with the small crowd of customers. Food- The first thing that I noticed was that I didn't see drinks on the menu, but once seated the server did offer a choice of hot tea or ice water - which was fine by me. As for the food, I had ordered the grilled salmon and shiitake maki, which was more than enough for one person. The grilled salmon was streaming on arrival and the 3 pieces sat on a bed of grilled onion slices. Personally, I would've liked the salmon being slightly seasoned with shio (salt) or shoyu (soy sauce), but it really wasn't a big deal since the server had filled a small dish with soy sauce before the meal had arrived (so I used that as seasoning). The maki (sushi roll) was much smaller than expected, which was a bit surprising for the price of each set. For that reason, I may end up going with the sashimi next time. Service- The server sand staff did a good job at checking on me periodically to make sure everything was ok until the last few minutes of my time there. If I recall correctly, I believe there was only one server working, so I won't hold it against them - I just appreciate them being open (the last time I stopped by was on a Tuesday and they were closed). Atmosphere- The atmosphere was simple, nothing too amazing, but the tables were spaced out well enough to enjoy the company of others without needing to talk over other parties.

Let’s be honest: sushi can be a gamble. One minute you’re savoring buttery toro , the next you’re Googling “how to survive questionable yellowtail.” But Nami Sushi? It’s the kind of place that restores your faith in raw fish — and maybe humanity. The quality here is unreal. The sashimi is so fresh I half expected it to start swimming off the plate. And the prices? Somehow they’ve cracked the code of serving top-tier sushi without requiring a second mortgage. It’s like luxury dining without the financial trauma. Now, if you’ve been to Nami before and left unimpressed — I get it. The old regime had its... quirks. But the new owners have turned things around like a dramatic makeover montage. The ambiance is warm, the menu’s been upgraded, the staff is attentive and the fish no longer tastes like it’s been through a midlife crisis. If you were a former skeptic, it’s time to give Nami a second chance. Redemption never tasted so good. Nami Sushi is fresh, affordable, and run by people who clearly care — not just about the food, but about your entire experience. So go ahead, order that omakase. Your wallet won’t cry, and your taste buds will throw a party.

I had this spot bookmarked for the longest time since they first opened. I made a takeout order a while back of their lunch chirashi which was filling and everything tasted fresh. More recently, my boyfriend and I decided to stop by during their happy hour as he had went to Nami Sushi without me. As we entered, there was one other table occupied and we were greeted politely by a waitress/cashier who directed us to the next available booth. We were given glasses of water and menus to browse but I saw that we weren't given a happy hour menu (we arrived around 4:30). I inquired about the happy hour menu and she apologized before getting it and bringing it back to us. After browsing, we went with two bentos and a creamy scallop roll as well as hot tea.

I love how spacious the restaurant was and the interior felt so intimate and luxurious despite how it looks outside and where they are located. They definitely can accommodate parties of all sizes. The bathroom was also very clean and felt upscale with a gorgeous sink. The choices of bowls, dishes, and cups are also very fancy and not the traditional or cheap ones you find elsewhere. You can tell that they truly do care about presentation and providing an experience here.

Once the orders were placed, we received our miso soup quickly. I was disappointed by the lack of green onions and tofu though. There were very small pieces, like maybe three that I got in mine. I prefer them to be slightly bigger and cubed. The hot tea was very comforting as it was a very windy day but the tea was piping hot, but not enough to scald your lips or tongue. We then got our salads and creamy scallop roll which was satisfying. The creamy scallop roll in particular was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, we got our bentos as I was impressed with the portion size and variety of the bento. It's a solid deal for $20. The teriyaki sauce was fantastic on tender chicken, the salmon was cooked to perfection, the nigiri slices were perfect and fresh on the right amount of rice, and the fried gyoza and shrimp tempura was crispy and tasty. We saw our waitress deliver a take out order to someone outside and she saw our fur babies and gave them a little wave. When I thanked our waitress for saying hi to our dogs, she told us that they were very well behaved and cute which warmed our hearts. We look forward to...
