Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Findlay

About a couple weeks ago my cousin was in town from out of state and my family decided to go to this Applebee’s for dinner. There were 10 of us. My aunt and I both are servers and was pretty understanding that they were busy. We waited for refills longer than usually acceptable and our server did not seem friendly. This usually doesn’t cause me to be upset though bc I believe everyone has bad nights. But what happened next is the most unprofessional thing I’ve personally ever witnessed from a wait staff. After receiving a $100 bill on a $97 tab that my cousin picked up for some of us and then left bc he had to go to work- Our server came back to our table and yelled at us about receiving only $2 on a 100$ tab.

A. My aunt and I was each going to leave a tip on the table since my cousin had paid B. Since when is it okay to come up to a table and demand a tip? Especially when we are still waiting for a container we had asked three times for. C. When management was informed they acted as though they didn’t even care. D. Our server looked like she was on drugs and I really hope they start testing their employees.

When i arrived at the restaurant. I was seated right away. I took a moment to go to the restroom. When i returned from the restroom i waited 5 minutes then when to the hostess to ask about my server. There was many workers around and only a few customers. When a server came to my table she apologised informed me that she had not been informed that there was a table rotation. She quickly took my order . Brought my a drink my food was out promptly and hot. The soup was delicious i ordered a second bowl togo. I ordered stake it was cooked correctly seasoned well. The server did a great job of correcting the mistake. I was happy with the service and the food. They do need better communications between staff. I also had an issue with not being greeted or even any eye contact with the server that was cleaning the area next to me. I feel even if it was no longer her table, she should have asked me if i had been helped and offered to get my server. It had been a while sence i had got to Applebee's for this reason. They need to work on the quality control of costomer service...

Went last week w my son. Staff was great. Food was edible, I was starving . I never give reviews, but I'm making exception. The sirloin was bland, the broccoli was hard to swallow it was so drenched in salt?! and how do you mess up smashed potatoes? PUT SOME LOVE IN YOUR COOKING, QUIT, OR FIND A NEW CHEF! If this was my 1st trip to Applebees, it would be my last, but I've been going for years, so I'll give it one more try in Findlay, then it's a wrap, if it's the same. Sorry to be so harsh, but so was the food I tryed to swallow down and not waste my hard earned $ . And yes I still tipped good, it's not the lady servings fault .
