I cannot believe I still eat here. Last night's delivery order is my last, EVER. I used to love Puccinis growing up; but now every time I order from here, I get RUDE service over the phone, a LONG wait, and really NASTY food. Seriously. It is going downhill fast. It was so gross last night that I took one bite and threw it all away! $30 wasted! EEEWWW, it was so gross. And I kept thinking I'm just ordering the wrong thing, and I order again, and it's still horrible.
What are they doing in the kitchen? Who works at this location? The girl that took my order last night (I am always very polite btw) was RUDE, and laughed at me when I ordered only one slice of cheesecake. I guess she though I was eating two small pizzas and an appetizer all by myself? Who is she? This kind of customer service is okay for the owners? As a business owner myself, I would NEVER let any employee make my customers feel bad. THEY PAY MY BILLS. I write a lot of reviews, so you can see I am not a grumpy person, I love to give credit where it is deserved. This is one of my only bad reviews. The good reviews for this location are definitely fake reviews, you can tell by the lack of content and detail. I mean, cmon, were not stupid.
STOP EATING HERE PEOPLE. We are just encouraging them to serve us bad, overpriced food, and be rude to us while doing it. I will never eat Puccini's ever again. And I've been eating it since I was a little girl living in Geist, eating at the one on Oaklandon Road. Dunno if they are all separately owned, but the 116th street location is gross.
Oh, also, there was some sort of mystery muck on the outside of the cheesecake box that looked like black snot. Gross. Where is the Health Dept. on this? Good bye Puccini's and hello ANYTHING else.
And yea, I don't expect the owners of this location to respond or even acknowledge this review. They really seem...
Read moreWe were met at the door and seated promptly which was nice. However, the standard and quality of food was appalling. My aunt had ordered the tomato soup, which when it arrived wasn’t hot-merely a bit warm and reminded me of a jar of marinara/tomato sauce slipped into a bowl. We let them know it was a little cold and figured we’d leave assumptions aside for our entree. Now I may be wrong but usually chicken marsala would come with pasta, this did not. The chicken Parmesan did, but the amount of it in the bowl left much of the bowl itself empty. The sauce as well had the same temperature as the soup, not hot but slightly cooled. The chicken was the only thing that felt like it was freshly cooked. The portion and quality of this meal wasn’t worth the $13 price tag.
I don’t blame the staff or cooks. They all seemed younger-just needed guidance. The manager from what I saw, spent most of his time out in the main seating area on his phone. Also fair to mention that within the hour of eating from here, I was experiencing very bad intestinal distress. I write this as I suffer on the throne.
Until things seem to change, and the standards of a restaurant are upheld, DO NOT EAT HERE. The portillos across the highway will provide a not shockingly better experience.
Update: My aunt is experiencing the same bubble gut symptoms, and I fear shall replace me on said throne.
Update 2: After she gets off said throne, “Why did we keep...
Read moreDON'T TRUST THEIR GLUTEN FREE MENU/SAFETY!! I have eaten at many other Puccini's for years and not had problems. A week ago, we ordered take out for our office and I swung by to pick it up. I always ask repeatedly to confirm that everything I am ordering is gluten free. They assured me it was. I quickly found out after eating it that it was NOT gluten free or safe for me to eat. I got violently ill and did not fully recover until 5 days later. I am not SO sensitive that cross contamination doesn't usually bother me. The food I eat has to have gluten within the food itself so me to react this way. So that tells me that they are not accurate in their gluten free offerings OR their staff is just simply not educated at this location. What was even more disturbing was that as I was telling this story to a friend about why I was so sick last weekend, they said that they used to work there at this location and said that the staff does not take gluten allergies seriously and think it is a joke and is made up, so they don't take any precautions when it comes to the gluten free orders. That they actually laugh when people order gluten free because it's "not real". While I can't confirm 100% all of that was said, it is still disturbing and I definitely experienced their negligence and will not be...
