It has taken me a while to write this review, because I am conflicted. I LOVE Wendy's fast food. It's relatively cheap for a good amount of food that tastes great. It's my go to fast food place. However, I had a terrible experience at the Wendy's in Fishers Indiana on 116th st. I had just finished going to two different doctors appointments and was feeling hungry so I decided that instead of trying something new and possibly expensive I'd go for a classic. So I ordered a classic Big Bacon Cheddar Chicken sandwich combo and a Strawberry shake. Then I started driving home. After driving about halfway home i decided that traffic was less hectic and could start eating my sandwich. I get a few bites into it when I realize that something is off. It tastes weird and my mouth felt funny. So I pull off to the side of the road in pendleton and look at my sandwich. Much to my disgust and horror there was a very large sized spot of mold on the bun. On closer inspection there were even smaller spots throughout the bun. So at this point I'm realizing that my mouth is very tingly and my throat is slightly swollen. So I then drive myself to the hospital. I am allergic to Penicillin and amoxicillin and so the mold was giving similar reactions. Thankfully it was a mild reaction. I then looked up the number and called the store and they said it wasn't them it was the other store. I looked up the store again to make sure I had the right on (I did) and they then said yes they were the one on 116th st. Then I told them what happened. They of course said they checked the package that my bread was supposed to be from and said that none of the other bread was moldy. Now I don't know what to do. I feel wronged. This should never have happened. I talked with a lawyer and they said because I didn't have lost wages (because I was off that day) and because it wasn't a severe enough reaction leaving me in the hospital for more than a few hours that they couldn't do anything for me. But what happens if/when this Wendy's sells bad food again? Does someone have to die for someone to get the store looked into? Please check your food before eating, I...
Read moreThere needs to be some changes serious changes made at this Wendy’s restaurant. The manager has no idea how to manage this restaurant or her staff. It was between 12 PM and 12:30 PM in the afternoon when we pulled up there to go eat there were two cars in the drive up and Two cars besides ours in the restaurant parking we parked tried to open the door to go in. The door was locked so we walked all the way around the building having to walk in to the drive-through lane to get around and that door would’ve been locked, but somebody blocked it open so we could get in. Evidently the manager was training a new staff of three people and wanted all the doors locked so nobody could come in. But she neglected to put any signs on the door saying the drive up only was open so people wouldn’t try to get in. Which was very poor management on her part because after we finally got in and placed our order after waiting about 15 minutes, other people pulled in to the Wendy’s parking lot and tried to get in. We had no idea why the doors were locked so we opened the door and let other people in. At that time the restaurant manager got all pissy with everybody and start hollering that she didn’t want people coming in and we started getting pissy back and saying well if you’d put signs on the door people wouldn’t be coming in. It’s quite obvious this manager does not know how to handle pressure of a fast food restaurant and my daughter who was with us managed a Hardee’s restaurant for years and sometimes you just have to handle the pressure training new people and waiting on people at the same time so I would suggest that someone that knows what they’re doing be put in charge of that restaurant we won’t be going back there and I would advise other people to stay away from there, too, oh and another thing our food was cold and took forever...
Read moreThis is the most conveniently located Wendy's to me and that's where the positives end. 3 different managers that have no idea what to do. I've had more than a dozen bad experiences, but since there are 2 items on the list that I can eat (need low fat), I deal with it.
Tonight was the worst. 8 or so cars in line. I've got my dog with me but I figure I'll just go inside and expedite the situation. No. I waited and waited. The manager helped a guy that came in the same time as me after 6 minutes or so. They blamed being short staffed as the issue but the only person trained on the register was the evening manager. All I wanted was a salad from the fridge 5 feet away and a drink within the same proximity. It took me speaking up several times and just under 15 minutes to PLACE the order. Then I had to wait another 5 to get it. I was in a rush with my dog in the car waiting and, because of health issues, I take a pill and need to eat within 30 minutes. Let's just say I went over a bit there and had stomach cramps for the rest of the night. Thank you, Wendy's. Last time I went the employees kept trying to give me an old potato the manager said not to give.
I received no apologies or anything to make it right. I had to go back in to collect my drink as one of the employees gave me obviously the wrong tea. The manager saw me after a minute or two of waiting again and asked what I wanted. No sorry or discount. AVOID THIS PLACE. Shut it down.
20 minutes for a to-go order? At one point I asked the manager if I should get in my car and get back in line or just leave (they kept a slow but passable pace with the drive-thru) and he...
