So being a trucker. Iāve been here a few times. I walk over from Little America. Iāve sat at the bar and had a salad and several drinks without any issues or odd questions. Tonight I came in after dining at Outback. Yes I had quite few. Yes I am a little guy with a very high tolerance and metabolism. Service was good up until the end when Bella asked how I was getting home? First of all, thatās my concern. Second of all, I was polite, cordial, and just enjoying a great game all by myself. I was not acting a fool unlike a few regulars that got a pass? I felt like both her and the other gentleman who began serving me kinda low key cut me off towards the end? I waited about 15 minutes and walked towards the front to ask the hostess for a manager. Bella ran up quickly like as if she thought I was walking the tab? Like where were you the last 15 min if you could think I was walking my tab? Not cool man, the eye in the sky never lies. Donāt assume anything about your patrons. Especially if they are as cool and polite as I was. Yes I still left a 12.00 tip. It could have been 15-20 have the staff finished the job. Not gonna let one bad experience ruin the previous 3 positive experiences I had previously. Not trying to get anyone in trouble. Please use this as a coaching tool and treat visitors the same as you treat regulars whom you know very well are driving home. Bottom line, if youāre gonna ask me how Iām safely getting home, then please make sure you are asking every single customer, including your regulars being loud and obnoxious. My two servers were both good up until the end. Finish the job. Patrick A, Austin, TXš.. **Update. I returned Sunday evening and my experience went vastly different. Much like my first 3 previous visits. I was taken care of expeditiously and without any odd questions about my transportation situation home? Thatās the way it should be. It should not be the staffs concern unless the customer is being unruly. And thatās typically a local or regular who is almost always driving home. Not your out of town patrons. So great job tonight. I have updated the review...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have been coming to this establishment since itās been open, anywhere from lunches to dinners to even watching sporting events , you can call us regulars. Today November 3rd, we had experienced the worst service here yet. After being seated we waited about five minutes for our server to take our drink orders. We asked her if they did the lunch specials and she said she was not sure. Another five minutes went by and I noticed our drinks waiting at the bar. We waited another five minutes and then my dad decided to go up and get our drinks. The bartender and another server told us we will bring it to you. After another two minutes a different server brought us our drinks. They didnāt bring the limes for the beer and there was salt on the margarita even though we said no salt. A different server yet, brought limes after we asked for them in a cup and the limes were brown. After this we still havenāt seen our server and waited yet another 15 minutes and noticed the table next to us and three other tables had already been sat and had their food and they came after us! Also during this time we still have not seen our server. We noticed the manger, Paul, running food and bussing the table for the servers. We ended up going and asking Paul for our check. We told him what was going on and he told us heāll comp us next time (hopefully he remembers). We had to pay with Paul because we still never saw our server. Dirty Birdies please do better⦠we love you guys but not after this experience. Remember communication with your tables is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was great. The establishment isn't anything amazing but the food makes up for it. Everything we ate was great. So why the 3 stars versus 5 stars? Integrity šÆ.
The owner puts a tiny sign outside that isn't obvious that states he will add a surcharge to your meal because of recent minimum wage increases. This was not transparent. I'm assuming that is why the sign is small and inconspicuous. Instead you find out after you get the bill. Even the servers are frustrated by this policy. It causes a lot of customers to be upset and not give a tip. It's important to know the servers do not get any of that money, give them a tip.
An owner with integrity would just raise the prices. The food is good enough to support a price increase. Increase in minimum wage is killing restaurants, I get it. However the right thing to do is to increase your prices so it's transparent, not tack on a charge that you leave a little note outside your doors about that no one sees; but instead you find out when you get the bill. It's wrong!
*Update: Any restaurant or business that takes the time to respond at least cares about feedback and I have to recognize that. I've increased to 4 stars, as it is deserved, since you are committed to customer satisfaction. I hope you do consider revising your policy or make it very obvious. Your food is unbelievably good, and your servers are very nice and kind. It was very difficult to even give you 3 stars, but the unexpected charge seemed very deceiving. Thank you for acknowledging the concern we had. Thank...
