Bruster's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Florence

I really wish I didn't feel the need to write a negative review, but my experience this evening (9pm) was SO unpleasant, that I may never return. My family was treated like we were a huge inconvenience to the girl working the window (black braids with a patch of blue braids underneath). It would truly be nice if they wore name tags!! The way she looked at us and spoke to us was nothing short of rude and nasty. We had 2 separate orders so my husband gave her his bank card for the first part..my 3yo wanted a cone, but we asked for it to be placed in a bowl so we would not have a huge mess. No cone received. This girl did not smile once through our interaction, just kept a mean/angry look on her face. I understand people have rough days, and I would not write this review based off of just her demeanor alone. I ordered next. It was something that another girl had made for me in the past. Chocolate ice cream with crushed up oreos through it. I tried to explain it was like a chocolate blast. Her immediate response..."we don't do chocolate blasts". Well, I KNOW that..that is why I am trying to explain that it was made similarly...I think the other girl did it like a milkshake. IDK, but she made me feel like a complete idiot. I looked at my husband (because I thought maybe I was out of line or something), and he even commented that if he owned this place, she wouldn't have a job. I get my order and all this girl did was put ice cream in the cup and dump a scoop of huge cookie chunks on the top...did not even mix them into it. She started shutting the window, and I asked her if we could please have my husband's bank card back...it was still sticking out of the machine even though I paid cash for my part of the order. She pretty much ripped it out of the machine and just glared at me as she handed it over!! WOW!! So like I mentioned, I wouldn't write a review based on the looks I got...everyone has a bad day...BUT, I then saw why I was such an inconvenience to her!! Once the window was closed, her male co-worker immediately starts teasing her and they start goofing off together. For the first time, I see a big smile on her face..I must have been interrupting their fun! Well, Bruster's, your ice cream is decent, but until you have some friendlier, more customer oriented staff, we will...

WENT YESTERDAY TO GET SOME ICE CREAM AND THE EMPLOYEE ASKED ME IF I WANTED TO LEAVE A TIP AND I RESPONDED NO THANKS. THE EMPLOYEE PROCEEDED TO RUN MY CARD AND WHEN SHE GAVE ME MY CARD BACK SHE DID NOT GIVE ME MY RECEIPT. THANKFUL I ASKED FOR IT AND REALIZED THE EMPLOYEE HAD GIVEN HERSELF A TIP!! 😡😡 TO SAY I WAS LIVID IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!! I WENT BACK AND CONFRONTED THE EMPLOYEE AND SHE SAID SHE DIDN’T REMEMBER !!! AS WE ALL KNOW YOU HAVE TO PHYSICALLY TYPE A TIP IN THE CREDIT CARD TERMINAL!! THIS IS STEALING ….. I WONDER HOW MANY OTHERS HAVE BEEN VICTIMS OF THIS BUSINESS !! My first experience was amazing one of my favorites ever.. super thick, delicious peanut butter graham cracker milkshake. I went a few weeks back, going up to order this exact one again, and I am told they don't have it. I am a big peanut butter lover, so I opted for the "creamy peanut butter" they said they had instead. I was severely disappointed.. and that's pretty hard to do. I ended up with a very runny, not thick (vanilla milkshake with peanut butter at just the bottom), not blended well at all, couldn't get the peanut butter until I finished the shake.. I couldn't fathom words, but wow. I did not enjoy it at all. Waste of $8 👎🏻 Will not be coming back for a while. Employees also did not seem to want to...
