SUNDAY, JUNE 29, 2025 Lawd, we were in for a treat this evening. My cousin, her daughter, and I decided to visit this location. Our server, Josh (name on my receipt), was nice and attentive. The food was pretty decent, and despite how busy it was, we didn’t have to wait long for a table.
When I received my order—a country plate with corn, loaded baked potato, fries, a loaded sweet potato, and sidekick ribs—I noticed that I had been given steamed vegetables instead of the baked potato, and the ribs were hard on the bottom. Josh gladly took the plate back and brought me the loaded baked potato I originally asked for. From there, our visit continued without incident, and we enjoyed our food and drinks.
Until a large cockroach (or waterbug, as some Southerners call them) fell onto our table.
My cousin jumped off the bench screaming. We were trying to figure out what was going on until I saw the bug crawl out. No one in the area immediately offered assistance—not even staff nearby. Eventually, a tall female server (not our server) came over, knocked the bug off the table, stomped it, and removed it with a napkin. She also offered to move us, but by then, we had decided we were ready to leave.
What really shocked me was that no manager ever came over to assess the situation. Having an insect fall on a customer's table in a restaurant should absolutely warrant management involvement and concern.
I went up to pay—our total was $107.29 which is pretty reasonable for a party of three–entree, drink, and alcoholic beverage. Josh, our server, was the one ringing me up. He didn’t say anything about getting a manager. "If those were the big ones they would fly." Thankfully, the same female server who had killed the cockroach stepped in again and said, “Wait, Imma get a manager.”
Eventually, a heavyset Caucasian female manager with past shoulder-length black (or very dark brown) hair came over to the POS system near the bar, where I was standing. She offered to take $20 off the bill and asked, “Is that good?” in a very nonchalant way—then just walked off. She didn’t offer any sort of apology or show empathy. Honestly, that’s disappointing. As someone who has worked in restaurants before, I would’ve at least said something like, “I’m so sorry that happened to you.”
This location really needs improvement—especially in management and pest control.
The noise level might be a bit loud for some, but it didn’t bother me. However, if you or someone in your group has sensory issues, you may want to come during a quieter time.
We all ended up taking most of our food home after enjoying the bread and drinks before the entrées came out, but unfortunately, none of us ended up eating the leftovers. I might give this place another chance in the future, but as of now......
Read moreI love going to Texas road house I always order your rib eye and have never been disappointed, in fact birthdays, Xmas , special holidays my family knows a gift card from Texas Roadhouse is a sure thing to make me happy . I would like to hear how you would feel if you or one of your family members experienced this situation, On March 30 at 4:00 a friend and I visited the Texas Roadhouse. Restaurant in Florence sc. We asked to be seated in the bar section and we’re told that would be fine . After being seated we waited to be waited on , we waited and waited and waited, the bartender looked at us several times but did not acknowledge our presence people were being waited on at the bar after about 10 minutes a hostess came to the. Table and asked if we were waiting for someone I told her (a waitress) she informed me there was not one working out section ( why would we have been seated their if no one was working that side ) then I asked if we could sit on the other side( still in the bar section ) she said no so I asked if we could sit at the bar and she said that would be fine, after ordering a drink a couple came in sat in the section we were told was closed a waiter went to the table And took their order, I was shocked I immediately went to the front and asked why we were not allowed to sit there and be waited on she could not tell me but did move my friend and I to a booth in the bar section. . We did have a wonderful dinner our waiter left happy he got a 24.00 dollar tip for waiting on us I would like to hear your feedback on my experience at your restaurant. Should the hostess have more knowledge on sections , should the bartender have at least acknowledge we were not being waited on should the second hostess who told us we could not sit on the other side be trained better On open and closed sections I’m sorry this is so long but the time between being seated at your restaurant and finally getting a waiter wasn’t...
Read moreDriving from Florida to New Jersey, we wanted to be sure to stop for a good meal. We specifically picked this restaurant because of good reviews. when we arrived the place was packed with crowds waiting outside. We had called ahead, but didnt expect to be seated quickly due to the crowds. Surprisingly the ladies at the front promised we would sit in 5 min. We were delighted and seated quickly. There were tons of waiters and waiteresses working. I was impressed how well it seemed organized. The waiter was nice but... both our orders were wrong. Mine was just a hamburger, it was supposed to be served without bacon and it was supposed to be cooked medium. When it came out there was bacon and it was completely well done almost burned. I didnt complain. My husbands 12 ounce NY Strip steak was supposed to be medium. It was completely raw with a light sear on the outside of it. There were hard veins running through it. I was grossed out just looking at it. My husband tried to eat it, we dont like to send things back. The waiter asked if everything was ok. He told him the steak was not cooked. He said no problem will cook it more for you. Be right back. He didn't come back to get the steak for 10 minutes. Then he took the steak out of my husbands dish. Leaving all the bloody juices mixing with the sides, which were cold by now. The sides were cold and wet from raw meat. He didn't bring warm sides. We waited quite a while for the steak to come back. I think all of the issues were issues the waiter should have handled better. Too bad the restaurant reviews must suffer because of him. Maybe if someone was walking around asking each table if everything was ok, then this would have worked out better. The only food that was good was the additional side salad my husband ordered. Bad service except for...
