We had a birthday party for my son on Oct 12 at the Florence, SC location. On Oct 10, a representative from the location called and confirmed my food order, what activities we could do and the number of kids. I was told that due to my son turning 6, he would not be able to do the bumper cars or laser tag but could do the bowling and miniature golf. I was ok with that. On the day of the party, we arrived around 2:10, party was starting at 2:30. One of the attendants took me to the room and left. I started to unpack things and get things ready for the party. No one came in to say "hey, I'm your attendant for your party. How can I help?" At 2:30, no one was there and guests had arrived. The kids were ready to play. At 2:35, my husband and I go to the desk to inquire about our party attendant and we were told someone would be coming. When we went back to party room, someone had come and brought the party favor bags but no wrist bands for the games. We again asked someone else about the bands and our party attendant finally came back with them. We noticed that our attendant seemed to be "out of it" almost like she was high in something. We caught her swaying at one point. Now, I booked the Premier party package which included an attendant the entire time. She was supposed to take the kids around to the prime attractions. That didn't happened. I asked her about it and she said that we were to go on our own. So, the kids tried to scan their badges and they were not activated. My husband and I again went to the desk. The guy who was there kept asking us our son's name about 5-6 times before he found it and activated the bands. When it was time to eat, we had ordered chick fil a. The food was late and the drinks were hot with no ice. I was not told to bring in ice. If I had known, I would have. The party was over at 4:30, but we left before then. I spent almost 500 dollars on a party that was a big disappointment. And we didn't get to do the miniature golf or laser tag (which we were told when we got there that my son could do) because our attendant didn't lead us around as expected. I will not be having any more parties at this...

I am not someone who leaves reviews, but after what I witnessed at Tilt Studios in Florence, SC, I feel itâs my responsibility to warn others. The general manager, Robin, was openly racist, disrespectful, degrading, and unprofessional in the way she treated employees. It was one of the most uncomfortable and disturbing work environments I have ever seen. Employees were spoken to and treated like they were nothing more than trash.
Parents â please do not allow your child to work here, especially if itâs their first job. The management sets a terrible example and exposes young workers to toxic, unsafe practices. And for those considering throwing a birthday party here: donât. What youâre paying for is a joke. Cupcakes are kept in a deep freezer for months (sometimes up to a year), and the drinks served in pitchers come from a Coke Freestyle machine that has never been cleaned or serviced. The syrups being used have been expired for at least six years. The âprizesâ kids work hard to win are the same bulk toys you can find at Dollar Tree or Family Dollar.
Behind the scenes, itâs even worse. Employees are forced to mix harsh cleaning chemicals without being provided protective equipment. If they refuse, theyâre disciplined. When I (along with about 50 others) raised concerns to HR multiple times and nothing was addressed, we made it clear these issues would be reported to DHEC/OSHA. Instead of being taken seriously, we were all terminated. HR dismissed our concerns by saying theyâd âworked with Robin for over 50 yearsâ and that âthis doesnât sound like her.â
Tilt Studios Florence is unsafe, unsanitary, and unethical. I would strongly caution any parent, employee, or customer to avoid this place at all costs.
Having seen first hand the things theyâve done to cause issues with the next job those terminated obtain, I am...

We visited Tilt Studio, the game center, which has 3d rides, fun games, fun events, and ticket prizes... typical fairly modern gaming place. But, watch out for the gimmicks.. We were not told the details.. and ended up buying credits to play the game that were lost/expired. No one informed us of the rules, and we lost $50 or more in value, since we didn't know that those credits would expire after store closed! We learned the hard way. Don't be fooled... I'd be lying if said we didn't have fun; but, the wind was knocked out of us when I checked a kiosk to see how many credits I had left to use (expecting to return in a week/month) 'til I noticed a timer counting down... asked the attendant who said they didn't know the credits I bought were limited (on a timer!); tried to get a refund, she couldn't, called but the manager refused to talk to us... We plan on writing the CEO of the Studio; and Magnolia mall to tell them of our experience. Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware!). Credits do not expire; but not all credits your buy are "real" credits, they time out and expire!!!! We will not go back.. watch out for the gimmicks. Note: Tried to email the response below and talk to them, they did not reply! No surprise there. Consider my reply below! :-/ Reply to Tilt Studios NO, I did not... I purchased an evening special which gave a discounted price for credits period... No restrictions were mentioned or advertised; but, as I mentioned I discovered 15 minutes after I purchased it; I personally found out it was a timed item, no one mentioned this. Not only that; but because of the time of day, more than half the points were expiring in an hour... No one mentioned the timer at the time of purchase; and so we thought none of the points...
