Eggs Up Grill — Restaurant in Florence

Have been coming here pretty frequently and the last 3 times have just been weird. First two time had the same server, felt like she was annoyed with us the whole time and rushed us to leave. Most recent, today, had a different server who just seemed... out of it. He asked if we were from florence then turned and walked away as soon as we said yes. Asked if there was any sugar for the coffee and he said they were out then brought sugar later. When he refilled the coffee he pressed the pot against my arm which could have been prevented if he hadnt reached it across the table. He kept calling me buddy which might be a personal thing but felt kind of rude. Everytime we go and ask for a box were given comically small boxes. Like can barely fit my food even if i just pile everything up, which is annoying to do because I didnt really want to mix all of my food into one. You can see in the photos we had to pile up all my husbands food which, if he wanted a bowl he would have ordered one. With mine I always have to wrap up my muffin so my gravy doesnt get all over it. The food is good when we get it and it doesnt take very long but the wait staff is just so strange it makes the experience uncomfortable. They always seem overly hyped up or antsy. We eat breakfast here a few times a month. I would agree with other reviews that they are under-staffed, but so is just about anywhere these days. As a result, it does make service a little slow. The food is typically pretty good. We did have an issue awhile back where some of the food was not cooked as requested (crispy bacon, dark toast) but the manager stopped by the table and was extremely apologetic. You can see that he cares. Unfortunately today we stopped in and were greeted by two individuals who didn't care and were not at all personable. We were told there were two seats at the counter or we would have to wait 40 minutes. 40 minutes??!! How is that even possible?? There was no one else waiting. Typically, the people dining are all at different stages of their meal. Some just getting seated, some ordered and waiting, some eating, some finishing. But somehow, today, everyone I guess got seated at the exact same time and were all at the exact same stage of their breakfast. Yet, we didn't arrive when they first opened their doors. It was 11. I'm going to say these 2 individuals had no clue what they were doing and seemingly didn't care. Two diners lost today. So far, two strikes on this place. Not sure yet if...

I would give this place zero stars if allowed. I am a delivery driver. I have been to this terrible establishment over 30 times to pick up orders and only left with food twice. Staff will lie and say they just got the order even though it doesn't work that way (not taking ownership for checking their delivery orders) tried to talk to the manager over the phone who could care less about the service her. Found her to be quite rude. All she did was talk about how the delivery drivers are rude and treat her staff bad. Not for one moment did she take in the feedback that if they actually did their jobs people wouldn't be upset. It's a reoccurring issue at this restaurant and the fact that management doesn't care leads me to believe they don't care about much of anything. Of course drivers will be upset paying $4 a gallon for gas and driving to your establishment over and over again to not make any money as we are not paid if we do not pick up an order. Management should pull their heads out and realize that if the correct the issue it benefits everybody but seem like they could care less or are too dumb to realize.
