KFC — Restaurant in Florence

My piece of chicken was the dern BEST fried chicken I've had in years!!! Not kiddin' either. I took a friend to run some errands this morning & he wanted to do something for me afterwards & asked for suggestions on where we should go to. Just a cheap hamburger was all I could come up with, but he drove up to a KFC & we went inside. What a menu & great prices also! I got a fried chicken breast (excellently cooked), mashed potatoes with gravy, & a biscuit that was made with my Aunt Sarah's recipe (not really) & took my chances on their tea. Wow! Couldn't believe it wasn't loaded with America's favorites high fructose corn syrup & it was actually very very good. Fresh! No old moldy tea flavor at all & that is so rare. I must say that KFC has come a long way since I was in my 20's, at the lake on a boat with the grease running down the arm that was holding my piece of chicken (& I wasn't fat either....still not...well...maybe some). To think I could've waited 20 minutes in line for an ordinary hamburger at a similar price is pretty crazy. Horrible customer service! The sign posted on the restaurant reads “Drive Thru Open Only”. We get to the drive thru to place our orders (3) and was told that only 2 orders can be taken at the drive thru. When my mom asked what should we do because only the drive thru is open like the sign said and we have 3 orders, we heard an employee say “It don’t matter!” When I asked about it because the sign only gives the option of using the drive thru, girl told me that’s what her manager stated. We drove off because the customer service was HORRIBLE! We went to the KFC on Palmetto Street and placed our 3 orders with absolutely no problem and with FABULOUS customer service! I called back and spoke with the manager and he attempted to justify what was said by saying what we heard was not what we heard and that the other employee was talking to another customer. Well, we were the only car in line and the inside was closed. Soooo…yeah! Needless to say we will NEVER and I do mean NEVER visit this restaurant again. Absolutely disgusting...

Still only operating by drive thru only ....went threw drive thru at 8:06pm and had to use our cell phone flashlight to see the menu sign because they already had the lights turned off... ordered a family meal was told we had to wait 10 minutes to get Mac n cheese ...so we waited had to park....also the minute we got to the window to pay they turned the lights back on....the website said they close at 10:30 pm ...it seems they were already trying to close down being we were told we had to wait extra time for menu items to get done....another customer had to park and wait also for something to be cooked....why are you turning the outside lights off at 8:06 if you don't close until 10:30....sitting here watching the drive threw line and they are telling other customers that they have to wait for food to be cooked and customers are leaving the drive thru to go somewhere...
