This restaurant is such a disappointment to the Wendy's franchise and to the Florence, SC area. So many things wrong in such a little amount of time so I will just highlight the most important in helping others deciding on a decent place to eat. The young lady behind the counter taking orders, money, and filling orders may have been the only one there actually working so I will give her a pass on the fact that she never spoke unless spoken to, used her ungloved hands to pick up fries to put in a bag (a customers order) and seemed to be so lethargically tired that she didn't even notice all of the flies swarming above her head and the rest of the prep/order area. I hate to think how many flies might be in the back kitchen area if this amount was being tolerated in the front. The employees behind the door and in the drive thru area were not even candidates for wearing the Wendy's uniform shirt. All four or more of them. The older woman at the drive thru did seem to Atleast be attempting to fill orders however due to the disturbances around her it was obvious that her job was affected as well.
There was no apparent reason for the table I chose to sit at or any other table in this restaurant to be dirty, including the floor and soda machine area with so many employees standing around, entertaining themselves by whatever it was they were watching on their cell phones. With Management present. The soda machine was anything but clean and two out of three fanta drinks I chose were not working. Dare I choose to interrupt the busy staff for help. There was no salt in the condiments bin so I went to the counter and waited my turn in line to ask for salt. The young man behind the counter told .e that they were out of salt...he poured salt into a soup cup and gave it to me. I give him credit, he Atleast obliged to my need for salt. đ
I am a firm believer that if you have faulty management running a business you will receive subpar help from other employees if you are the owner and good customer service will be non existent. This seemed to be true for this establishment as the older (elder-short-grey hair) woman who appeared to be acting management at this particular time was just as unprofessional in her actions as the rest of the staff. I am not sure if she was commenting about me or the man in front of me having his order bagged however it was obvious when she came out the kitchen door looking our way and yelling, "IDC That's disgusting!" Hmm... There was two things that she could have been remarking about and I will just leave it at that. She knows and so do the employees who were with her. Either way, she is a representative for Wendy's while at work and should not have been making comments at all! I am a fan of Wendy's and have frequented many in state and out of and sadly, this Wendy's franchise is not deserving of the "WENDY'S" Name! If you are hungry, looking for a place in the area to eat that has led you to this review, save yourself the upset and choose another restaurant...

The people who work here are horrible, unprofessional, and racist toward white people. They made mine and my gfs order wrong twice. My girlfriend goes up to fix the burger issue and was rudely blamed for the burgers being wrong. The person that took our order also fought with her on my burger saying that I didn't say that I just wanted cheese (despite the receipt proving her wrong) and huffed at her when she went to correct the order. After getting the order back the first time, mine was now correct but hers was once again wrong. She's lactose intolerant and allergic to eggs, so the burger that once again had cheese on it was something she couldn't eat. She went up again and told them that and the person making the burgers "jokingly" (but not really) said "ok so double cheese, got it." with a very smug smirk. After getting back to the table the second time the order was correct this time. Unfortunately that's not where the bad things ended. Our food was already cold by the time everything was straightened out, the " sweet" tea was sour and tasted awful, the food was mediocre at best for a Wendy's, and the worst part came when another white couple came through after we sat down and ate. (Not trying to be racist but this was an all black staff that were talking about this.) You could hear them in the kitchen saying racial slurs about the white couple and treating them "nice" to their face. This isn't acceptable for any sort of establishment and I will never be back at this Wendy's again. The food also seems to have made my girlfriend a bit nauseated so I'm wondering if they did something to her burger as well... I wouldn't put it past them based on my experience this evening. Also, while I was writing this review inside, some of the staff sat across from us and watched us with dirty looks and were obviously talking about us because of one guy trying to hold in laughter as he pointed a fry our way.    Read moreI had an extremely poor experience with your employee Robert Galbreath tonight (9/23/2024.) First, he saw me at the side door entrance trying to get his attention as I had just placed a mobile order and was not aware that the dining room entrance would be closed by that time (8pm), as it is not specified what exact time the door will be locked. The sign on the door actually specifies that the dining room is open until 10pm. He bypassed me and went back to the drive thru window and failed to alert anyone inside that a customer was at the door. After a car left the drive thru window, I went up to the window to let him know that I have a mobile order and could not come inside to retrieve my purchase. He very nastily and violently attempted to slam the window shut on me without even attempting to find out that I had an order. He began to make threats as though his behavior was acceptable in any way, shape or form. I asked how I could have my order cancelled if that's the attitude he was going to have. Luckily one of the sane crew members motioned for me to come to the side entrance and asked for my name so she could retrieve my mobile order. Robert is a very combative and disturbed individual who makes the Wendy's brand look very bad. I have been coming to this location for decades and have never had this kind of experience before. His co-worker informed me that he does indeed have a nasty attitude toward customers and I informed her that I will be reporting him to corporate offices. He is not fit to deal with the public whatsoever. I will also be reporting this location to DHEC for food safety violations as I have previously seen workers put their bare hands on cooked food for absolutely no valid reason. I will definitely not be visiting this location again and I advise anyone who expects high quality customer service and sanitary food preparation to avoid this location as well.
