Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Florham Park

We were staying with family who suggested we dine here for lunch. I'd never heard of Habit Burger, but this Santa Barbara-based chain has apparently extended its reach through the East and West coasts. When I asked about the quality of chow, my family described it as "very decent fast food".

Color me intrigued.

The menu plays to its strengths, so there's little besides burgers. But don't let that make you think it's limited by any means. Their signature Charburger appears in a variety of forms - with different proteins, numbers of patties, breads, toppings, and sauces. I was especially surprised to see an ahi tuna burger and not one but TWO veggie burgers (one with their vegan veggie patty, the other has an Impossible patty).

Upon ordering, customers are issued a pager that both lights up and vibrates when the food is ready. It took much longer than I would have suspected from a seemingly fast casual establishment, but the food is made to order. This is most evident with the side dishes; our fries were hot and crisp. Most surprisingly, the tempura green beans stole the show. My husband seemed to enjoy the ahi tuna burger he ordered, but he took quite a few bites from my tasty Impossible burger. When we soon discovered they'd forgotten the avocado I'd ordered, the guy at the counter was immediately apologetic and set about making a whole new burger. For free.

5/10 update: So in the response it says to contact them via email to help fix the problem...I did....never heard back from the company....... First let me say the rating has nothing to do with the food...it has to do with delivery. I have ordered many times from this place and the food is outstanding, however today once again DOORDASH who delivers for them dropped the ball!! This is the 2nd time I placed an order 2 hours before the set delivery time and when it was about 15 minutes before delivery and I noticed that no "dasher" was even on the way to the restaurant..I called door dash to be told "sorry, we don't have a dasher available, we can just refund you" really?! So now I am once again stuck with no lunch because of doordash...unfortunately this now reflects on Habit Burger and loss of a customer because I will no longer order from them for delivery...and I don't recommend delivery...when I'm in the areas I'll stop by, but I would highly recommend you guys use a more reputable...

I really enjoy this burger, if you saw me in real life you would probably guess I’ve had a few in my time… So I know what I’m talking about when I say this chain hits a little different. From the hot pepper salad bar, to the tasty shakes and beverage options, this is not something you want to miss when you go to the US. On another note, Honestly some of the best fries I have ever had, I don’t know how they are cooking those bad boys but the other burger places do not compare.

The other thing that was present at this location that may not be everywhere else was the politeness of the staff. Honestly the guy behind the counter was a really good person and a pleasure to communicate with, I believe he’s name was Patrick, thank you.
