How have we never eaten here before? What a find!!! Our party of five had a large representative portion of the menu and everything was so good! The Wild Mushroom Bisque is quite possibly the best soup dish I have ever had. Our party also had three different salads which were very generous in size and we all love arugula, so it was very nice. The entrees were wonderfully presented, and cooked to perfection. My wife does not like her steak underdone, and the 12 oz. steak she ordered was not only cooked to her standards, it was so savory I was glad she gave me a small piece. Our party also had the branzino, the swordfish, and the short ribs. Everything was excellent, in both presentation and preparation. I personally had the swordfish, which was light and cooked perfectly. Swordfish can be a bit chewy, and this was not the case at KC American Bistro. A few of us abstained from dessert, but the Orange-scented Creme Brulee was described to me as "so light it is like tasting a cloud", and the Limoncello cake never stood a chance. It was gone in a flash. We will definitely be returning, and often. Our server, Vele, was prompt, knowledgeable, and set the standard by which all restaurant staff should abide. He was able to not only recommend dishes, but also which wines would make good pairings. If you are in North Naples, you must give KC American BIstro consideration for a...
Read moreI have to say that this place wowed me. The waiter was very well trained in fine dining but not stiff and made my kids laugh. He prebussed perfectly and was super attentive to us. The chef who I think may also be the owner was visiting every table and very nice. His food was the best meal I have had in 10 years. Kudos to the flexible crew for accommodating a vegan diet and not making us feel like it was an inconvenience. Hospitality is a 5/5 at this restaurant. Ambiance looks like still a work in progress but the food and service make it a non issue. I would go back once a week if I lived in Naples. I have been a restaurateur my entire life and a tough critic. KC American Bistro nailed it. Amazing short rib, prime quality filet, curried swordfish all amazing. Fresh baked bread was hot and came with a whipped honey butter that was out of this world. Wild mushroom bisque was outstanding. Beet & goat cheese salad beautiful presentation and flavor profile. Desserts were excellent as well. Blueberry pie, orange creme brûlée and key lime pie were great. The crust on the key lime was so good I thought about ordering one to go...
Read moreMy dinner (salmon) was excellent and the service was wonderful. The server gave us plenty of time for each course while continuing to check in with how dinner was going. Nothing was rushed and everything was personal. That night in June we discovered our usual KC Bistro was now in transition to new management to be Amber Cove. Our friends also told us that their experience was that the food at Amber Cove was upscale to KC Bistro. So, we decided to host our Summer Dining Club there to give our diners a wonderful, new, upscale dining experience with a limited menu to make it more practical to give good service and upscale food to 37 people. Tim Herman, the new owner, paid a lot of attention to detail as we planned the event. It has taken awhile to give feedback because we left on a trip that next morning and I wanted to take time to get feedback from many of the diners. The consensus is that the food was very good and clearly upscale. The service was exceptional and personal for each table. The atmosphere was calm and elegant--often hard to find when you are...
