This is yet another hidden GEM restaurant in Naples. Located in the Pavilion shopping center in North Naples & Vanderbilt Beach area.
Don't let the " bar/grill/pub " title fool you! Irish Times is Bar & Grill is a full on restaurant with BEAUTIFUL interior design finishes, great service and delicious food for health-conscious eaters with satisfying options.
One of my go-to places next door (Tacos and Tequila) had an hour wait. My friend recommended checking out Irish Times and spoke highly having been there before.
The rest of us hadn't been there before, so our party of 4 meandered over from T&T, found seats at the bar and gave it a shot!
The more I melded in with the atmosphere, all of my senses were being met.
The bar is long and expansive.
The low lighting offers a cozy, welcoming ambience.
From the flooring to the ceilings to the bathrooms, the interior design is tastefully done.
OH! And wait until you go visit the bathrooms.. the ladies room SMELLED SO GOOD!
I love when bathroom interior design makes a statement that is visually appealing. It's even more impressive when my nose says so too! My mom actually pointed it out first, so I made sure to take a gander..and capture some photos! Lol
The live music was wonderful. The sound was appropriately dispersed throughout the space. We could hear each others conversation well and we were right next to the musicians.
What food we had was all very good. I ordered the Salmon Caesar Salad and to my surprise finished my plate...which I rarely do!
I've also have had my fair share of Conch Fritters from the islands. The ones Irish Times serve may be a tad smaller but they are flavor-filled and on point!
Watermelon Macadamia Nut Salad and Pesto Flatbread were delish. My mom got the potato skins without sour cream and bacon and said those were yummy too.
I look forward to my next visit which will be sooner...
Read moreWell, this was our third time there and tonight was not a real great experience. We were there for a total of 3.5 hours from start to finish. The bar had two bartenders- for a packed place- Iâm in the service industry - TWO bartenders is not enough for the amount of people waiting for a cocktail. I personally watched people walk out. Then we went to a table for dinner. After sitting for about 15 minutes- we had to ask the hostess stand who our server was- a gentleman came over - his comment wasâwhatâs the problem?!â Huh? We would like to order some food- his comment wasâwell you guys already have drinks⊠yea, we know, we are starving. Finally after waiting- another young man came over and spilled a whole draft beer on my friend- a whole team came to clean up the mess- not one person came over to say anything to the two friends that were soaked by the drink- we find out that the server was on his second day. Poor guy- he was to do the dirty work. Our food was average at best- our service was terrible from start to finish. We come to find out the owners are on premise and couldnât even come over to ask or apologize about the horrible situation- come on! We werenât looking for a freebie- just take take of the poor kid that was trying to do his best! We will head back to our go to for fish and chips and Shepardâs pie in Bonita- we gave a try but wonât be back.Iâm response to the owner.. YOU as an owner should have come over and spoke to us- thatâs what owners do- itâs not about the free stuff it how you threw your poor server under the bus- Oh and the tshirts they gave my two friends one of them melted in the dryer- should have taken...
Read moreIf you have any enemies and you want to do something nasty to them, then tell them that the food at Irish Times Bar & Grill is great and send them there to eat. Because as nasty as your enemies might be, the food at this place is even nastier. Just about everything I had there was awful. The sampler appetizers that I ordered was not very good. It came with 3-different appetizers of your choice.I picked the Salmon Crab Cake, the Sausage Rolls, and the Coconut Shrimp. Of the three items, only the Coconut Shrimp was decent. The Salmon Crab did not taste anything like Salmon nor Crab. Instead it was mostly fried breaded batter. The Sausage Rolls looked good but unfortunately the sausage that was wrapped inside the pastry was almost frozen. When I pointed this out to the server (who by the way was very nice), she returned it to the kitchen. A little while later this guy brought out these two Sausage Pastries that were actually burnt. The inside edge of the pastry was burnt to a crisp. The sausage was hard and had a terrible burnt taste to it. Finally, hoping things would get better I ordered their signature dish, the Irish Stew. I've had Irish Stew at other Irish restaurants before and they were way better. If this toxic looking sludge is an example of a traditional Irish Stew, as it would be prepared in Ireland, then that would explain the mass exodus of Irish people from Ireland in the early 1900's. I would not feed any of this to a mean dog. It was just plain AWFUL. I wonder if any of these people were even Irish? I doubt...
