Worst experience of my life. They totally shunned us. They do know what they missed out on. We had to ask to be seated for our reservation after they ignored us for 15 min. We were seated opened our own wine. No liquor license so we brought our own which they said we could. Everyone else was served a complimentary wine not us, We waited 45 min asked for a menu waited another 25 min went up asked if we could order. She (i believe the owners wife) took our Order . Brought us food we didn’t order. Asked the head waiter maybe owner why they treated us so poorly he said we rolled our eyes. Totally Untrue. We had high hopes and had to leave. Never ever again and we have loads of family and friends that live here not transients and NO you will not have any of our business ever!!
In response to the owners response. We could have been part of the family and not just customers, but your staff made that impossible. I have to say everyone was working hard. I saw a lot of interaction between the wait staff and other tables but unfortunately we were just forgotten. I do believe the order for our food was put incorrectly possibly on purpose as the lady was mad that I asked her (very nicely) if someone could please take our order. After discussing what happended at this restaurant with family today, our adult children asked how many times have you ever had to make a bad review for a restaurant? Our answer never before ever! It’s really sad that this was not corrected for us. I hope it never happens to any...
Read moreWonderful experience from start to finish. First off the restaurant itself truly feels like you are dining in Italy. It has a very unique Italian charm about it. The decor makes you feel like you are eating at your Italian grandmothers house. We were met upon entering Trattoria Angela by the owners Enrico and Angela. They greeted us with big smiles and a welcome “ Ciao “. Hello please come inside. They chatted with us for a few minutes after seating us and told us about the specials of the day and also how they started the restaurant here in Naples, FL. Enrico and Angela are from Naples, Italy and they told us the story that they always had a heartfelt vision to open up a restaurant in America and in particular in Naples, Florida. A few years later their vision became a reality. The food was delicious. We started off with an appetizer of calamari which was cooked perfectly. The Chicken Marsala which was prepared in a light colored sauce with mushrooms and served with spinach was so tender and flavorful. My other friends Milanese dish was exquisite as well. They have a great selection of wines to choose from and Enrico recommended one of his favorites for us that we all enjoyed with our meal. I ( we ) will be back here often. My new favorite spot. We didn’t order the pasta on this visit but we look forward to ordering it next visit. Thank you Enrico, Angela , and your wonderful staff for treating us like “ Familia “....
Read moreFood was good. I had mussel linguini and my friend had a wide pasta with red sauce (sorry I don't remember the names). However, what we witnessed while waiting for a carry out left a bad taste in our mouths. We had no idea reservations were required. We were excited to try this place and my friend and I both love Italian. We got dressed up, went in and were told we had to have reservations and there was nothing available for the rest of the night. We were very bummed, but because we were already excited for the food, we ordered it to go and waited for them to cook it. As we were waiting, we ordered a glass of wine and stood outside to enjoy the weather a bit. A man and his girlfriend came in and were told they had to have reservations. The man threw a bit of a fit, acted like a spoiled brat and low and behold, they sat them. We were kind and understanding and still patronized the restaurant because we were excited to try (as it was our mistake to not check about the reservations) and we were told no, but the spoiled brat got his way. We were quite annoyed. So, just out of spite, we won't be back. The food was good, the disrespect...
