Eaten at other Skillets around town and been happy. Today I Ordered a Rueben it was an ok sandwich except for the stray toothpick parts hidden in it. The toothpicks were placed on the diagonal through both halves (it seems). Then someone cut off the toothpicks and flipped the sandwich so the halves were separated. Looked normal enough but left little clue that there were two sharp toothpick tips concealed in one half of the sandwich. Fortunately the toothpick parts with the yellow frilly plastic caught my eye and I started to eat that side first. Picking the toothpick out, I noticed the toothpicks were short and different lengths so I hunted through the other half to find the stray toothpick parts. This could be painful or even dangerous to have eaten without first removing the half inch long or 1.25 inch long tips of the toothpick. Looks like some cook probably misunderstood directions and cut the sandwich in the wrong way. Training matters. Be careful when you eat from here. Disappointed. Ordered through their google listing which uses door dash. Order was placed and then it gives you a progress indicator that never gets updated. Ordered about an hour before placing this review. The more I thought about this the less I trust this place to prepare my food. I just thought I would leave this for info but it took from Friday to Tuesday to be found by the owner and they ask me to pinpoint the time- they have my name and we’re notified when the original review was posted.
Suggestion. Train ALL your employees to not cut off toothpicks and leave pieces hidden in the sandwiches. Do it as soon as you find out instead of waiting 4 days and then asking what time it happened so you can go...

Ah yes, Skillets, the place that boldly asked the question: “What if flavor… just didn’t?” 🤔🚫🧂
I showed up bright-eyed and breakfast-ready, dreaming of fluffy pancakes and sizzling bacon. Instead, I was greeted with the energy of a waiting room and the excitement of dry toast. ☕️🍞😐
Let’s start with the décor. Imagine Cracker Barrel had a love child with your grandma’s least favorite diner, but forgot to pass down any charm. Brown. Beige. Beige. A splash of “Are we in a hospital cafeteria?” Beige again. 🎨😵💫
We sat down, eventually. The hostess looked like she had seen too many brunches and not enough therapy. 😶🌫️
Ordered an omelet. Got a confused egg envelope filled with lukewarm vegetables and what I believe was cheese, though it may have been a dare. 🧀😬
The potatoes? Oh, sweet mystery of life. Were they grilled? Microwaved? Spiritually cursed? They tasted like something found at the bottom of a retirement home vending machine. 🥔🪦
The coffee—how do I say this gently? It tasted like someone whispered the word "coffee" over a cup of lukewarm dishwater. ☕️💀
I asked the waiter for hot sauce and he brought me a look of judgment and a bottle shaped like trauma. 🔥
And don’t even get me started on the pancakes. Flimsy, flavorless, and flatter than my last relationship. 🥞💔
One star for the chairs not collapsing beneath me. Truly, a miracle.

Read moreWe were sat immediately. However, it was 10 minutes before anyone addressed us at the table. We tried several times to get their attention with very little success. It was very noticeable that the wait staff was serving everyone around, with the exception of our table.
I said excuse me to the manager and she continued to walk past our table to service another. It wasn't until my husband said excuse me that we grabbed her attention. She then brought us our waters and asked if I would like coffee, but did not ask my husband, who wanted to try some of their juice products.
It was not a terribly busy Sunday. In fact we called to make reservations earlier and were told it was not busy.
Once we acquired service, there seemed to be an annoyance that we were receiving service at all. There seemed to be a racial undertone from the moment we walked in.
While the food was good, we won't be back due to crude and delayed service.
If you try Skillets, we hope you have a...
