So this is THE WORST DENNY’S of life. I’ve been here a small handful of times to get take out after hours. The most egregious of errors that comes to mind is the time I ordered a specialized burger, an impossible burger patty to substitute for the regular beef one. The young lady who helped me right off the bat made me nervous bc she seemed unsure about the procedure to order such. Asking me if I wanted “the double patty or single,? even AFTER I was more than clear on what I was ordering. Well when I picked it up, I should’ve checked the order before I left (but I never do that…um, TACKY!) Anyway, after I had taken a big bite of the burger, I should have spit it out, bc I not only noticed double patties, but I was 100% certain it was regular beef, and the kitchens cook ticket staple to the bag confirmed it. I’m a vegetarian, so this experience was REVOLTING for me. Tonight, the waitress behind the counterb(only employee visible for a long while,) Was super callous and unprofessional. She literally just blurted out a profane word in east earshot of all the guests and patrons. I wanted to place an order for a desert that I already know takes a bit of a long time bc they have to bake it fresh or something. I informed her of bc my request to place an order for it, but she just ignored me and continued on talking to some friend or person who looked to be a peer or coworker. I’m disabled and suffer from severe lower back pain and it was just about at its worst tonight. So I was just trying to make this transaction as expedient as possible, but instead sit and squat downed in agony for what seemed to be an hour, but actually was a half hour or 45 mins. They were not busy AT ALL, and several of the other many employees had come out from hiding at different times throughout my ridiculously long wait. I’d like to say, I’ll never return, but I probably said that last time lol. ONLY COME HERE IF UR DESPERATE. It’s awful and super unclean also. The men’s...
Read moreMy Granddaughter and I had the great pleasure of visiting the Denny's on 9th Ave in Fort Lauderdale. It wasn't my first choice, it was my granddaughters and she is only 8 years old. She saw the Denny's and said "lets go to Denny's Nauna, remember the commercial?" So we went in and was greeted right away by a very friendly server Tiffany. She then sat us down at a very clean I might add, table. First I would like to mention the coffee. What a total surprise and totally unexpected how delicious it was! That was all I really I wanted. However, when I saw the menu I couldn't resist ordering the food. The food was so fresh as well as delicious. The pancakes were so sweet and fluffy. I just know there is a secret to them. The eggs actually tasted like expensive free range. I would know as that is all I eat. My granddaughter had what she called birthday pancakes. Sprinkles and whip cream! Was like a birthday cake. She loved them. I haven't stopped hearing "Let's go back to Denny's for the birthday pancakes". I know people tend to only complain but I want to praise where it is deserved. This was a great experience from the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out. Can not wait to go again. What was so surprising was the Chef I believe (Keevan was his name) came out to introduce himself and to check and see how our food was and to make sure my granddaughter liked her pancakes. I couldn't believe she even ate the sausage as she usually will not. I felt like we were in a 5-star restaurant. At least that is how they all made you feel as well as the food. What a pleasant surprise . We can't wait...
Read moreWe decided to stop and have breakfast, June 5th. At 10:33am we where seated. Our first contact with server was at10:49, so we ordered our drinks and food, never knowing when she will return. Mean while, the server had two tables she was working with, prior to our arrival. Each table had an issue with their meals.
Our food arrived at 11:16am. Food was not correct, one order was just Chocoana pancakes, so chocolate chips and bananas on top. No bananas came with order, I ask where are the bananas, she states we dont have any, I asked why she did not tell us when we ordered, would of gotten other fruit. She said nothing. Ordered Wheat Toast, go white bread. This location had enough servers so being short staffed was not the issue. Granted the food came out in 20 minutes, manager was helping out one table, not for food, but for slow service. Our server had a mask on, on her chin only. If going to wear a mask, wear it properly. Server never returned to ask if we need anything, like refills! When she finally returned, I just told her to give us the check, paid at register and left. Being a server is very stressful with all patrons looking for service. If our server would of just acknowledge us and other tables, maybe better. She worked one table at a time and that is not good service. Table arrived as we finishing up, they waited about the same time we did before she said something to them. They got the manager to have her come to table. Humm, seems like a...
