I’ve lived in Florida my whole life and in the Davenport area for a little over 7+ years now. So naturally when I found out thanks to my sister that we were getting a new coffee spot I was very excited!
First I’d like to say to those who come from up north expecting the same experience you’re likely all used to back home extend some grace to this location as it’s literally only been open for ONE week not sure where some reviews state “for weeks” when that is certainly not the case. It is also the first and only location in Florida. So cut some slack.. lol
Second the environment is 10/10 even if it is untraditional for most of us Floridians as there is no sitting area, and the design of Dutch bros is well.. solely quick service and they are absolutely swift and efficient in bringing out your order in little to no time with such warm pleasant personalities each time that I’ve ordered! So understandably Dutch bros is very much a “On the Go” spot it is not a casual sit down coffee shop if that’s what you’re looking for there’s plenty in Orlando.
Opening day I tried the Golden Eagle breve with the recommend “soft top” I see why it is a Dutch fav as it has immediately become my first choice I like that I am able to get this decaf, and even then the flavor was incredibly smooth but also rich! For me it was the perfect balance of sweet but not too sweet as you still have that fresh blend of coffee in there. With my order I also got the Vampire Slayer which my partner did enjoy as he is more of a refresher, fruit teas, kinda person and I love that Dutch has literally something for everyone and more!! I’d recommend for any tea drinks, lemonades, etc to request light ice as they put a generous amount of ice (which I love) but not everyone else does so if you don’t want your drink to water down too quickly just FYI!
I’ve shamefully come by already one too many times but I’ve tried there mango smoothie, Golden Eagle Breve Iced chai, Iced protein coffee, and very soon I hope to explore more of their vast and fun menu! Prices are fair, right up there with most local spots which is A ok with me because you can tell it’s quality made coffee. Honestly I could go on, but I’ll leave it here and say Dutch bros is a rad new spot and I don’t know what made them choose Davenport Florida but I’m so glad we got picked first as Orlando is spoiled with...
Read moreLet start by saying the coffee (iced) is good. Better than the usual iced Starbucks and Dunkin. Ok. Now that the good is out of the way. Let’s get to the bad! No matter if the coffee is good. It is sooooo not worth the wait. This was my 4th visit. Went to the walk up window. Nobody was there in front of us and placed order right away. After waiting for 8 minutes. Wife finally got her drink. They made it wrong so they had to make another one. They remade my wife and I was still waiting on mine. Side bar. How did cars that ordered after me at the drive thru got their drinks before us?? Guess that’s another topic. When I did finally got my order. Of course they made it wrong. I asked for half and half. Girl who took order made it as half decaf (no half and half or milk at all). Could have been an honest mistake. Was told they will make another. I am sorry. After waiting over 10 minutes for a coffee. I didn’t plan on waiting any longer. Appeared like the “Broistas” that work there appears to party and have a good time than rather work. Noticed the expresso/coffee machine has 3 brewing spots but they only use one at a time. I just don’t think any coffee is worth that kind of a wait. Now don’t get me wrong. If place was busy and there were people ordering before me. I can truly understand. I choose to order when there was a crowd. But there was no one in front of us when ordering!! Sorry Dutch Bros. Your coffee is just not worth that...
Read moreAfter experiencing great service and great product back in Gatlinburg (Tennessee), I was blown away and excited to hear that they are no in Davenport. 30min away from where I live, but just to hear they are finally open in Florida it’s great news. Let me start with the obvious negative which is to expect given the excitement shared by a lot of people in regards DutchBros… wait times 45min for a drink. Wayyyy too long of wait. But I waited because I really wanted that amazing experience and taste that I experienced back in Tennessee. If you going there keep in mind you will have to wait. I am sure not due to them to be slow but given how busy they are. Now my biggest and that is my complaint given how long I have to wait which I chose to…I was not blown away by the quality today. Not what I had in mind back in Tennessee 1 month ago. That was the disappointment factor. It didn’t taste tje same. Not sure if is due to the overwhelming amount of orders (which it could be it) or due to not fully trained staff since they just recently open. So I am hoping in the future (Soon enough ) they address these things as I was 1 out of 100 people between there today (03/08/2024) DT and standing outside that most likely didn’t get their full experience that DutchBros can offer. Again I will be back but not...
