Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Florida

My office on the Treasure Coast is conveniently located five minutes from the Jimmy John’s in Vero Beach. While I’ve stopped in while passing the store, delivery is at least a once-a-week occurrence. Why leave when someone else can deliver the food?

The menu at Jimmy John’s varies from the “Plain Slims” – that are basically meat and sometimes cheese – to the “Giant Clubs” – which are loaded with everything from roast beef, turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato and a bunch of other stuff. If you’re ordering online, don’t forget to check out all the “free stuff.”

My favorite is the most expensive sandwich of all – the “J.J. Gargantuan.” Supposedly invented by Jimmy John’s brother Huey, it’s a loaf of their classic French bread filled with roast beef, smoked ham, Genoa salami, turkey, capicola, and provolone cheese, topped with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, onions and Italian dressing. Since the “extras” of cherry peppers and bean sprouts are free, I order those as well.

The J.J. Gargantuan is the probably the most unhealthy sandwich on the menu, with 55 grams of fat, 1,104 calories, and 3,414 milligrams of sodium. With that said, if it tastes good, it’s probably bad for you – right? $10.00 for this sandwich delivered. And don’t forget to tip your delivery driver.

Chelsea and her crew at the Vero Beach Jimmy Johns are always friendly, polite and never screw up an order. Unlike the Jimmy John’s near my office in Fort Lauderdale, they never forget to cut the sandwich in half, upon request.

I went in for a interview 4pm..10/28/16 The owners were late for my interview... So one the employees there offer me and my mother a drink of our choice for our wait for them to return.. When one of the owners came in..he immediately blew off my interview for having blue Powerade drink in my cup and didn't even let me get a word out to say that his employee told us to have what ever we like...when his employee offered it to us for them being late..And I also notice that the wife was in the back the whole time and the employees lied to me about neither one of them being there..he is a white man who obviously hates African American people..his wife was very kind in still did my interview..But also said that he is one who makes the final decision..but overall I don't feel comfortable working for a man who dislikes African Americans...To judge someone by a drink which was clearly a misunderstanding.. Isn't worth working for..which explains why they are very short staff..I felt very uncomfortable and felt like I...

Stopped in to place a Togo order. I ordered a giant ultimate porker and a regular Billy club. I live about 7 miles away from this store so when I got home I was extremely disappointed and frustrated when I saw my subs. The giant ultimate porker had 1 slice of ham folded over and a sliver of bacon. I’ve seen kids subs with more meat. I was shocked that I had just spent $20 on it and I was actually served that. The Billy club was slapped together but was decent considering the other sub. I called the manager to let him know and all he said was sorry. I asked him if there was anything he could do for me and he said “I guess I can give you a free sub next time you’re here” I don’t think I’ll ever go back to...
